this is a self esteem issue wen u compete with safai walis.

i didnt think women actually noticed safai walis n competed with them.i thought glamorous models were the criteria.

Don;t be such a jerk karakush. Its not a matter of competing with safai walis. It was just to give u an idea that every single woman there had had her eyebrows done and that is when I realised that maybe I should too, it isn;t such a bad thing after all.

The grl at the parlour ruined my eyebrows, I hate em They’re so thick n oogly, she made an arch where there shudnt be and left hair tht shud’ve been taken off..

Nah they're okay now.. But she didnt put any of that white powder on em before threading em (as every place i been to does that) nor did she appply lotion afterwards.. :(

ps, i have allways used a tweezer…it’s quick, cheap and leaves no red spot…plus i can do it every two other day to keep to keep an allways clean look;)

Note to Folks: I’m almost positive that there also a verse in the Quran that explains how Allah(swt) dissaproves of women getting rid of facial hair. I remember reading it once. Will post it if I find it.

^^ bhai jee u need to be in a girls shoe in order to make that claim. Its easy to be a guy and say dont do XYZ and then demand a fairnluvly smooth skinned bride.

:Dexactly…men and women are disctinct in islam…what is ok for men is not allways ok for women and vice versa…so a man taking his example to show a woman what is permissable in islam is very dumb…:halo:
example:
woman can wear gold BUT men can’t
woman can skip some ramdan fasting days BUT men can’t (cause the don’t have periods:halo:)
woman are requested to cover themselves (head and full body) when they pray men aren’t
woman can marry only ONE spouse at a time, but men can marry 4
woman have to wait 4 months to remarry after divorce, but men don’t…

i remember when i started first plucking them there was no shape it was just pull hair ut from wherever i felt like it....even then my mother wa stressing...now wen i'm really stressed (like i am now - exam time!) i actually manage to pull my whole eyebrows out with fingers...which means i have to use pencil until they grow back!!!!!!!!!!!

It is permissable 4 a women 2 remove facial hair ie upper lip ,chin,etc. But not permissable 2 shape eyebrows.
