Eye shadow help

Re: Eye shadow help

The outfits gorgeous teelo.

Well I dont know how done up you want to look, but here are a few suggestions:

  • I think a blue smokey eyes with neutral lips would look cute
  • Blue eye liner with subtle red lips just a dab and even it out and blot and apply lip gloss on top
  • You could even do red eyeshadow only on the lids and apply eyeliner, but red can be hard to wear with so many shades to pick from and I dont know how it would look on you. Wear with neutral lipstick/gloss. *simple gold eyeshadow with black eyeliner and red or neutral lips.

I'll try, when I have some time to put up some pics of one example and you can see how that looks.

Re: Eye shadow help

Ok, here is a pic I found from some time ago, it doesn’t look that brilliant because my face was being a super dry which is why it all look so uneven…wish I knew something that would work on my face, I’m allergic to most of face products :frowning:

So here is me in my trusty blue PJs :stuck_out_tongue:

The blue looks a bit different from what it really was, it was supposed to be just a bit darker than royal blue the flash washed it out.

This is a different one, I was bed bound for 4 days from a nasty cold and I was only just recovering so thought I’d mess about with some make up.

On top of the black/blue colour I added bronze and then a gold and a highlighter…

Re: Eye shadow help

Babes you think i am even half as good as you when it comes to eyeshadow then you are wrong!

I would love to do all that you do but i am a jahil :(

awwww....i'll try it out though..

Re: Eye shadow help

^ think so? Thanks..:D

I want to have a natural look...but a bit of colored eyes thats all...i.e. smokey would be great.
Red for some reason be it lips or eyes makes me look old :s i am not good at carrying red not because it wouldnt suit me but because i am bad at using reds myself.
I like the gold idea as well - i lost my MAC gold shadow which actually looked good with a blue liner i used the etude one yesterday and it looked cheap...so now i dont know what to do..i was thinking of doing browns with nude lips and pink blush...it wouldnt be matching but its ok i dont have no choice now our i can also just go for a pink (natural) eyeshade which shimmers and a light pink gloss and peach shimmer..what say?

Re: Eye shadow help

yeah the pinks should look great since there is red in your outfit. :)

Here is another suggestion, how about you do your eyeshadow in browns/bronze which should go with any outfit with eyeliner and mascara. I dont know if you will use false lashes and go for the spice colour blush and lippy in nude beige with gold shimmer?

You see I don't know the tone of your complexion so it is hard for me to say... Is your skin red undertone or yellow undertone? Just so I know if my brown/bronze/beige suggestion might be doable or not.

Re: Eye shadow help

My complexion is wheatish...i have never actually understood the concept of yellow and red undertone have heard it a lot but i always have a very little bit of foundation on my face along with everything else so i just highlight my eyes...
I have a gloss which looks nude but has a touch of gold to it..i like it got it from body shop i can use that - the problem is i have used browns a lo thats why i wanted to do something else this time round. i have been saving these clothes only because i cant get to do something great with my face. I have my own lashes which look as if i have false one since they are pretty big (mashallah) and little bit of mascara does the trick so that bit is fine :)

Re: Eye shadow help

Cover u're entire eye-lid with a silvery steel grey color...and blend a deep ink blue into the corners and into the crease..make no definite lines and be sure and blend! Line u're eyes with a charcoal pencil or liner and apply kajal if it suits you..

Re: Eye shadow help

Yaar can you please show me how to do it - it sounds great but i am sure you're brilliant yourself. I have till thursday only now.

Re: Eye shadow help

For that u'd have to come down to Dubai =)

Re: Eye shadow help

online tutorial, gina! step by step pics?

teelo, silver is very forgiving in terms of blending it and it looks really good sheer.

Re: Eye shadow help

^ i agree with somegroovychick - online tutorial please :D
Silver...wouldn't that look to much though? I am so much into natural makeup these days thats why i have lost my touch..and dont feel like going grrrrrraaawww! (ohk that didnt even make sense did it).

Re: Eye shadow help

I'll just do what sweetone has shown me i guess..(i will try i mean)

Re: Eye shadow help

^^yeah you practice it teelo and then show us how it looks. :)

Re: Eye shadow help

Teelo =)

cover u're entire eye-lid with a shimmery silver shadow

Blend a dark ink blue along u're lashline (upwards)

Line u're eyes with a black eye-liner

Apply kajal or an eye-pencil to the inside rim of u're eyes.

Re: Eye shadow help

Gina Can I ask you , why is it recommended to apply kajal on the inside of the eye rims...mine always bleeds and I have racoon eyes within minutes if not hours:)
Thanks

Re: Eye shadow help

^ Use Hashmi kajal that one doesnt bleed, or you can also use rimmel Kohl...

Re: Eye shadow help

Kajal is bound to bleed Ask99 =( and it gives u the "smokey" look without aiming for one! I adore hashmi stick kajal..but I have very prominent eyes and so arabic make-up suits me better. Hence, I needed a VERY dark black eye-pencil to line under my lower lashes. Mikayjy's kohl pencil is GREAT and so are Guerlain's colored kohl's!

Eastern features look stunning adorned with lots of kajal or kohl!

Re: Eye shadow help

^ how come my kajal doesnt bleed theni am blessed :D)
Gina cant you post some pictures of you work pleaseeeeee pretty pleaseeee :) trying hard to sound cute, sweet, adorable and convincing
