Eye shadow help

Which colors would look good on a royal blue and red shalwar kameez which have goldenish kaam on the shirt?

I was thinking of going for a smokey look - contrast blue and black
or brown and golden or pink with a touch of blue which would make the shade look natural and it would be matching as well or i can just go for bronze/golden and put some blue on it…i dont want to go all blue and red/maroon shade..
any other suggestions…please.. anyone.

Re: Eye shadow help

..therez a whole thread on this..'eye makeup'

Re: Eye shadow help

brownish/golden eyes with peachy pink lipgloss...if u gotta do matching, do red nails

Re: Eye shadow help

^ bingo! too matchy-matchy and it looks like clown makeup. and i'd say, keep the nails short if you're going to do red.... IMHO nothing is more 80's than long talons painted fire engine red. shudder :P

Re: Eye shadow help

yea. golden eyeshades would do :)

Re: Eye shadow help

SGC: i dont have long nails - mine dont grow after a certain length and if i force them to then they show me what they are capable of doing i.e. they chip and break :(.
Thanks guys..

Re: Eye shadow help

And doesnt have anything regarding shades to be used with blue and red clothes you see..

Re: Eye shadow help

I would do smokey eyes with a hint of blue and red with gold on the inside v-shape of eyes and nude lips.

Re: Eye shadow help

^Sounds good...if i get the time to do it, i'll post it here..

Re: Eye shadow help

this is what i did…something similar to what you were talking about..

Re: Eye shadow help

^ This is pretty what you have done it looks all glittery yet very natural - something that i would prefer i.e. subtle look..

Re: Eye shadow help

yeah...i cant do the heavy stuff...makes me look like a clown...plus...black liner/makeup is soooo 80's

Re: Eye shadow help

my sister in law wore red and blue lengha on her wedding, her eye makeup was mostly dark brown with hints of blue and red, very subtle but very visible as well..her lipstick wasn't RED but reddish..so it wasn't the clowny matchy-matchy, but rather complementing her features..

Re: Eye shadow help

^ How did she do that? maybe i can try that as well.

Re: Eye shadow help

i dunno, shirley wu did her makeup...

Re: Eye shadow help

DDo you have pictures though?

Re: Eye shadow help

glod with a tint of royal blue on the sides
dont do blue eyeshadow -- really tackyyy

Re: Eye shadow help

Cover u're entire eye-lid with ink blue (with glitter if it's formal) and close to the lash line smudge black shadow and blend well...then trace u're bottom lashes with the same and line u're eyes with dark/ink blue pencil. You'll get u're "smokey-eyed" look and color to go with u're dress =)

Re: Eye shadow help

^ Thanks sounds good and very hard to do as well :s

Re: Eye shadow help

I Tried doing something..i.e. i put golden shade on my lid and lined my lids (upper/lower) with blue..it looked simple, matching and good..what sayy?
