Well judging by the picture you showing, the makeup doesnt look too bad to go with the outfit, its not too dark. But im not sure what the true color of the outfit is… Did you take any part of the outfit with you to show the person who did ur makeup? so they could get an idea?

I like it, the suit and the eye makeup as well but how about putting a touch of some other pink in it (which would be more visible)? since the suit has more pink…and the eye makeup is to coppery/orangish. I actually feel the it should have more pink then the copper shades. or probably a mixture of brown/gold to make it look like rust gold. Thats what i actually felt after seeing your suit.

sara- i did take my dupatta with me so the girl knew the exact colors of the kaam and suit.
should i keep my lips neutral/light if i go with this look or should i also do magenta/pink? i usually don't wear any lipstick so the thought of bright colors is giving me the heebie jeebies!

Keep them i.e. the lips pinkish brown.

Well the general rule is if ur eye makeup is heavy, go for a soft, neutral lip color...You can also do a magenta lip with a softer golden eyeshadow like you said before...

if you are going with copper or any other darker metallic shades...keep it subtle...i think the subtle eye makeup...no matter what the color...WILL look good :)
dont use pastel shades for your lips...ever!! it looks boring..you want the 'va va voom' effect to go with the beautiful color of your wedding dress...
try to add depth to the metallic shadow with shimmer and matte shades(complementing each other)...

chanda- so subtle as in lighter shade or less eye makeup? i really want to go dramatic with dark, bold eyeliner and false lashes, so i guess lighter and less eyeshadow would be better, right? i’m going to go and get another trial done from a different MAC this weekend, so if you girls have any pictures or ideas or suggestions that you can post, i’d really appreciate them! i have a few i’ve found that i’m going to print and take with me to show the makeup artist.
what do you think about this one? she looks pretty, but her outfit and makeup is light so i don’t know if this will work for me…i don’t want magenta eyelids :P.
what about this? is it too simple or would the colors and overall look be okay for a mangni?
i really like this look, but not sure what colors to choose for the dark ends of the eyelid. any suggestions??

hmmm nabz those are really good…but dont go with magenta eyes…and yes…subtle color as in less color..
if you are wearing a red dress…dont do your eyes any shade of red/magenta etc..instead do a pretty shade of red lips..

I am also going with something dark for my reception…“brown dark” as opposed to ‘black dark’

and also..nabz...dont do neutral lips on your wedding day atleast...you need to look polished...so do wear a nice, not too dark shade...try on different ones...dont go to the 'pink' side...you will look pretty in plums and brick red stains and mattes...since they look very natural..glosses dont.
for your photos to look dramatic you need...
defined eye makeup
gorgeous lip color
natural blush...dont go too high on the cheek bones..whoever does your makeup tell them to brush some on your nose as well...lightly!
stay away from certain eyebrow shapes that are too arched.......or dark.

oh man! i so need to learn how to put on eye makeup :no: the only thing i know thus far is kajal and mascara… oh, and i have almost learnt how to put on eye line 
some of the shades and colour schemes used in this thread are amazing!

so i went for a trial at MAC and got copperish eye makeup done (without the false lashes for now).
this isnt looking nice... ur eyes are looking tired instead

well i dnt knw y girls r soooo obssesd wid MAC ... MAC is more desgined for professional or party luk...it dnt go for everyday......oh well

I have seen so many girls use it everyday and it looks good..except the foundation which is quiet heavy for me..i actually dont use any foundation..just loreals powder when my T zone gets oily.
I personally love clinique as well.

I’ve seen her do her own make-up for photo shoots and she’s really good. Don’t know if she has done her own make-up in this pic though :-/
