Eye Makeup!

Re: Eye Makeup! (merged)

Hey Khumar. Try using an eye Primer-Many of the big brand names do these, e.g. mac, benefit etc. after this any type of pencil will stay put. It's definatly a fantastic investment. I have the same problem as you and it has worked for me xx

Re: Eye Makeup! (merged)

well i don’t use the liner only on my top lid. i also apply it inside my lower lid line…so i dunno how feasible a primer would be :konfused:

Re: Eye Makeup! (merged)

For inside your lower lid line definatly try using Hashmi Kaajal stick. It will stay put until you remove it yourself !!

Re: Eye Makeup! (merged)

for reals? dude…but how do you know it’s the real deal? i’m just totally scared of 2 number ka maal.

so where in TO can i get the real deal?

Re: Eye Makeup!

I just bought mine from local shop as in UK only the real deal is allowed in. Anything else is illegal. Try their website direct in Karachi. Don't worry thoug. Just go to a good, reliable retailer and you will be ok.

Let me know how you get on - trust me it will work

xx

Re: Eye Makeup!

few days ago i went for makeup shopping at ulta and found some great shades of eye shadow in i.d. bare mineral brand, does anyone of u have any exp. with bare minerals’ lose eye shadow, I have never used the lose shadow so I wasn’t feeling very confident applying it. any trick for applying lose shadow or just any comments about bare minerals shadow please let me know before I go there to buy .
I have also ordered (online) AVON’s gel eye liner ( http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.asp?src_page=product_list.asp&level1_id=300&level2_id=301&pdept_id=312&dept_id=390&pf_id=30092it is exactly like the MAC’s liquid eye liner but much cheaper it cost me $3.99 it is suppose to get here in few days so I don’t know how it will look. Please let me know if any of you have any exp.
thanks

Re: Eye Makeup!

^ even i bought bare minerals pigmints - it came in a set of three with a little brush it cost me about $50. but the colors were just awsome.

and well i have loads of avon makeup as well - like the lip glosses - colored eye liners, lipsticks, blush, foundation and oh yeah bronzers - i like the blushes, glosses and lipsticks but not that satisfied with the eye pencils. i havent tried the liquid ones though since i only use rimmel for liquid liners.

Re: Eye Makeup! (merged)

The body shop is one of the leading (nature friendly) makeup brands in U.K. its a good brand and cheaper then MAC or anyother brands but its very good - very popular - i love the shades and lip glosses, even the body and lip butters and everything i have actually bought from there is just awsome. try it you will love it. and oh yea it has its own outlets/ shops across the country be it U.S. U.K or Canada

Re: Eye Makeup! (merged)

hmmm…sounds nice but i have never heard of it in USA. is there anyone from USA who can tell me where to get this

Re: Eye Makeup! (merged)

I don’t know if the Body Shop web site has a “store locator” feature for the US or not…but I live in Houston, and in the Galleria mall here, there is actually a “Body Shop” store.

Re: Eye Makeup! (merged)

I saw the store at a mall in seattle when i went there for holidays - there should be atleast one shop in some mall where you live.

Re: Eye Makeup!

Body shop are good, but I prefer MAC for its selection of colours in its eyeshadows...

Re: Eye Makeup!

Apply liquid base to the lids - this helps keep the color on your lids longer and also adds a glow.
(This is when you would also apply base to the rest of your face and neck, preferably using a sponge applicator for an even finish)

Apply a liquid eyeliner, a thin line is sufficient. Just go with the natural shape of your eye.
Wet a sponge shadow applicator and cover the entire lid with it. This technique makes it easier for the powder eye shadow to stick to your eye.
Now apply the powder eye shadow to to the entire lid

Use a darker shade of the same color shadow on the corners of the eyes. This makes the eyes look bigger.
Now reapply the eyeliner and smudge the ends for a smoky look
Take a blending brush and blend the colors for a softer look

You can apply a darker shade on the crease of the eye to add more drama and color to your eyes.
Finally, don’t forget to finish up with an even coat of mascara on both upper and lower lids.

Re: Eye Makeup!

Again, start with an even coat of powder eye shadow over entire lid

Use darker shade of the same eye shadow on corners

Carefully apply eye liner, with thicker blended edges to add the smoky look

Use a dark eye shadow on creases to add a more dramatic effect

Apply a soft eye brow pencil to even out any light patches

Re: Eye Makeup!

Thanks Humera,

that make-up looks wonderful. Do you know the correct technique and product to use for lining the eyes all the way around for a Pakistani bridal look. They always make the eyes look so naturally done and whenever I try it it looks to obvious and not subtle enough :bummer:

I love the Pakistani bridal look

Re: Eye Makeup!

use soft pencil before applying liquid liner… Apply very thin line using a soft pencil then apply liquid liner at once dont stop in between and try looking down when applying it
