^ tan u sid, where have ya been??

Girls, I have a question:

How do you achieve the “no makeup” look??

I know she is wearing loads of foundation n stuff but as far as the eye makeup is concerned, it looks like she has nothing going on! How do we achieve this?? (apart from, "don’t put any makeup on at all" )

I have seen many actresses wear the “no makeup” look, even with their party wears, they hardly wear matching eyeshadows, its mostly the nude look.

Howwww???

PS: I know the film lighting makes a load of difference too, but still..

Re: Eye Makeup!

shes not wearing any eyeliner at the bottom of her eyes. nude eye shadows, a light coloured blush, plus she ain't got anything shimmer on, and obviously nude coloured lips.

Yes but the eyeshadows need to be placed in a specific way in order to accentuate your natural features?

Re: Eye Makeup!

mayb. I would just stick to one eye shadow and one high lighter tho (both matte colours). try it out and post pics!

I tried it yar (quite a while ago) its damn hard (surprisingly)! I just can’t get it right!

Have a look at Marilyn Monroe here… looks like she isn’t wearing any eyeshadows, the emphasis is on the lips.

BUT… When u zoom in u can see the eyeshadows have been placed very precisely.

When the contrast is increased it becomes more clear… Notice the eyeliner on the lower lash line to create a shadow effect of the upper lashes!!!

Increased contrast on the rest of the face.

The following is my most favourite look of all time (minus the red lips for a casual look) I would love love love to be able to do it.

Its the technique that I need to get right, everything has to be so precise!

I tried it ages ago and it was soo hard to get the nude look!! I was so disappointed wih the results, I didn’t try it again!

I will Inshallah.

Re: Eye Makeup!

Well I would of done a look and showed u, but I have truly messed up my brows, at the moment there looking more like cockroaches Yuck Yuck Yuck

PS: This is the link I got the above pics from.

:hayaa: Jesus! You wouldn’t even notice!

hehe awwww its ok! I shall wait!

I will try it too.

Re: Eye Makeup!

^For the first MM look, they have just contorted, probably using what they used for the face or a similar shades.

The second one is hardly a 'no makeup' look even if we just consider the eyes. There are lots of youtube videos on how to do this look. Every next person is going around with dita von teese esque makeup which is very similar.

These are neutral looks.

Personally what I would call a 'bare' or minimal look is none of these. First I would do my usual concealer and highlighting pen to brighten the eye. Since my lids are darker than the rest of my face I use MAC paint in bare canvas and cover my entire lid and brow bone, this brings my lid to the same shade as my face (I prefer it over concealer as concealer still lets through the brown/grey dullness, whereas mac paint is more opaque). Then I would do a nude wash over the whole lid and browbone. No eyeliner. A natural mascara that separates and lifts the lashes but doesn't obviously look like you have mascara on.
