A bomb on the Indonesian holiday island of Bali has killed at least 58 people in a crowded nightclub in the resort of Kuta.
Police said at least 15 of the dead are foreigners, and more than 120 people were injured - among them Americans, Australians, Britons and Canadians.
No one has claimed responsibility for the blast, but the US embassy in Jakarta had recently issued warnings of possible attacks by Islamic militants linked to al-Qaeda.
Reports say the explosion was caused by a car bomb outside the Sari Club, a nightspot for Western tourists in Kuta.
One survivor said there were two blasts, the first relatively small but the second so powerful that it brought the building down.
A local police spokesman told the French news agency AFP he believed the explosion was caused by a home-made bomb.
A further explosion went off almost simultaneously near the office of the American honorary consul in Denpasar, but no one was injured.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility. It was not clear whether the explosions in Bali were related to the Manado blast.

: i had been to Bali last year .the great beaches,natural scenaries,hindu temples,people,historic monuments all attracted me and refreshed my mind up.i just planned a trip to Bali and also u.k this year but i think the latest developments are just been isolated incidents and tourists must not afraid of being there in Bali.moreover,indonesian government will be compelled to take more security measures in the wake of latest incdents.Bali is an island i think once adequate security measures are taken it will once again be a safe roost for the `migrating birds’.
there are some good hotels and resorts in Bali and there are regulr trips to Bali from indonesia,Java and sumatra.what i know is ,living cost in Bali is very cheap and it is also considered as great place for spending ur leisure times.there are venues for folk (desi)dances and tourists can also watch the artists being adorned with various colours and attires.there are myriad hindu tmples scattered across Bali and a vishnu temple gains special attention with facing the sea and the Balenese believe that temple protect them from natural calamities .if u make in to inner sides of Baleanese villages ,u can stay in smll houses(as paying guest)on very cheap rates and can enjoy some great,delish foods.u can also taste various fish curries and special fish pickles.u can also get some special birds-meat too but try to mke Bali in the rainy seasons as the full fledged beauty of Bali is well projcted and shaped infront of our eyes.
