are there girls (living in the best) here who have married guys from Pakistan, and are happy with their marriages?
i dont think there is any way of working out if someone is scamming you, until its already too late. what are some obvious red flags ? have people married without citizenship and are still married even years after the guy was gurenteed visa
iam sorry if this question offends anyone, its not meat to. these things happen and sometimes completely ignoring a place is not possible.

I know few girls in my family who married a guy from Pakistan. Of course one of the reasons they married her was visa/coming to US, but the thing is to make sure thats not the sole reason. They are pretty decent, getting on their feet, working now etc. They seem alright

How would you make sure its not the sole reason? and that someone is being honest with thier answers and the entire family is not just putting on a show?

its tough and nothing is certain and good part is luck. But make sure you look at the family, for instance, if you want to continue education after marriage etc, look at how much guys family is educated, do they support girls in their own family for education, do they people around them, they socialize with them are of decent morals similar to yours, ask around about them in masjid or friend of friends, get to know the guy for couple of months, ask questions that matter, have your mom ask his mom about whatever you are concerned about and if you are religious type, do istikjara … after that leave the rest to God and cross your fingers and be ready for compromise
