Skimping is relative too isn’t it? 
A $300 handbag for the mother and Target-clothes for the kids isn’t as bad as say a $300 bag for the mom while she feeds her kids ramen noodles on a daily basis.
O ooo this reminds me of those who live in projects/ghettos but drive brand new cars and wear expensive clothes.
