Nowadays governments and societies use different ways they see best in executing e.g.: Electric chair, Gas, Hanging, etc…
What in your opinion is the most merciful way of ending someone’s life?
And why do you think so?

Re: Execution
lethal injection, dont know why, just seems like the most merciful compared to the rest
Re: Execution
so what class is this project for? :)
Re: Execution
if ur killing sum1 for a crime, why shud it be merciful or pain-free? never understood that.
Re: Execution
i think a death is never painless.no matter how a person was killed it just depends upon his deeds and actions towards Allah if he was a sinless person even if he was excuted by nuclear weapon it wont effect him as much as it effects a sinful person.![]()
Re: Execution
although I agree on ur point Fridi bhai..but still Allah's way or "hud" in crimes are the most merciful always...
it requires acceptance that Allah's way is the best way first to see it this way though..and I mean not muslim's ways but the way of the Quran and Hadeeth (in its most authentic form)

*Execution is a Punishment....................Mercy doesn't come into the context of things....... *
Re: Execution
Beheading, if done right and the head is severed with one swift clean stroke.
Re: Execution
In other words "Jhatka".
Re: Execution
public hanging better yet stoning!
Re: Execution
No-one has the right to kill another person for any reason. Killing is murder for whatever reason.
In the context of punishment, it is a degrading form of punishment which should have gone out with the last century. Execution is the ultimate cruel, inhumane and degrading punishment. It has never been shown to deter crime more effectively than other punishments. As civilised human beings we should look into the reasons why an individual commits the crime. I would put forward the reasons of ineducation and destitution, and therefore we should focus on re-educating people rather then killing them.
Churchill said 'a society is judged by the way in which it treats its criminals'. I couldn't put it better myself.
Re: Execution
murder is murder no matter what label you put on it and no one has the right to take the life of another human being whether it be in the name of justice, war or whatever diety you choose to follow.
Re: Execution
I disagree. Killing a person is only not justified if the victim did not deserve it.
When death is administered as justice, it is deserved because the crime was so horrific that death is the only suitable punishment.
In war, failure to kill will itself result in killing.

Killing in any sense is an abhorrent act, which is not justified in any circumstances. Who are we to judge if someone should die, only Allah (swt) can decide when our time on this earth is up.
