Has anyone ever encountered a situation where someone constantly praised your spouse? Not like.. “oh he or she is so sexy” but like “ohh your spouse is the greatest thing since sliced bread.” Did it ever make you uncomfortable or think…what is wrong with that person?
And no, i dont think adding “bhai” ya “bhabhi” before or after the person’s name makes the comment any less chichora-y.
Mom told us once that when she was newly wed, one of dad’s friends from work came home for daawat and he just didn’t stop praising her… that made mom feel a lil bit uncomfortable but she didn’t say anything, thinking may be she’s over reacting, he’s just being nice… dad went outside to get something and his friend goes “bhabi, aapki height kitni hogi?” … and that was it he never came back again!! Neither did dad ever talk to him again…
1- More realistically a woman may say to man you are lucky. Cherish her (the spouse).
2- Women may never say to other woman, you are lucky either. Other woman will feel concerned.
3- Men do not say to other men you are lucky, since the responce may be a fist blow on face!!!
4- Also, men will 'usually' not say this to a woman, you are lucky. He is great.
All four scenariois I discussed. :)
P.S. I am assuming the men and women are not close relatives/sisters/brothers.
Diwana...I guess you wouldn't hear this from men, as it does seem like something women would do...I'm talking about like "Like, Omg, her husband is soooo great, hes sooo funny" bla bla...or, for instance..hes too good for you, u dont deserve him, etc.
Then again I shouldn't complain...cz i wouldnt' want someone to diss my husband.. that'd be much much much worse.
Spouse being praised by the person of same gender as spouse or the opposite?
Opposite gender.
Tho i dono how many dudes would say to a woman that her hubby is hot and great and all that.

lol no, that was in saudi arabia and we used to live in an apartment... so dad went to the shop downstairs to get drinks as far as mom remembers.

Oh, so no one thrown drink bottle on this dude then..that would have been the way to 'serve' him right way...;)
A friend of his kept making comments about my supposed sughar-pana and how lucky he is and blah blah blah. This happened in different variations for quite a while on and off during his visit. It was a bit over the top I will say.

That bold part is definitely not nice for someone to say.
Urgh we have this family friend, he’s like 30 something, divorced unfortunetly, and he hits on my mom and my bhabi like there is NO tomorrow. Infront of my dad and bro, saying stuff like ‘why didn’t I meet you before’ and ‘my friends are always saying I must be in love with you cause I talk about you all the time’ to my mom creeeeeepy! And things like ‘**** is so lucky he has a wife like I, I can only pray I find someone as beautiful and as amazing as you’. He’s either just a little bit camp or super smooth with the ladies
