Indeed Pakistan is a Muslim Country, however, many people there do not follow Islam. One of things that I truly believe in and know for sure is that Islam is Perfect but many people who claim to be Muslims are NOT. Another thing is that being EDUCATED does not make you less of a pervert!!! There are perverts who are Clean cut but they still are PerVs. My sincere advice would be to get a measuring tape yourself and ask your sister , mom , khala to write down your
measurements and hand it to the tailor!!!

I think you are one of those few females who allow male darzis to take naap themselves. Most women, take along a sister/mother/friend, and the other female takes naap, while the male darzi just writes it down in his diary and points out which areas need to be naap'd. I have never heard a male darzi actually taking naap of my sister/mother etc, although all my family women have male tailors.

The women in my family wear Burka's so they do the naaping shaaping at home and then write it downon paper which they hand over to the darzi.

Yeah, my mum and aunts get their clothes sewn by male darzees..... and none of them get to lay so much as a finger on any woman in my family. My mum and aunts do all the measurements themselves and then just issue the specifications to the darzees.

quit bashing poor and innocent darzis. I am a darzi myself by profession and I never needed to use my hands for measurements. A good darzi can take measurements just with a glance (or two - in some cases it takes few more. Which actually seems to be your case too).
It seems to me that your problem is not that you have been going to male darzis, it's more like you have been going to unskillful darzis.
Next time you need to have measurements taken for a dress, just let me know. And you won't even have to dress up for that.
