okay so why don't you show me some evidence that suggests that God does not care about such things? My opinion was based on my understanding that God has advised us to ask and He shall give... and He hasn't specified that people should not pray for sports. the way I see it, if religion defines your way of life, then prayers are an essential component of every facet of your life, and there's no harm in praying for something you wish for. Again, it's all a matter of interpretation... let's leave it up to the individual and his/her beliefs without imposing our own criteria for what may or may not be a worthy cause.
au contraire, praying for a "trivial" matter shows that the individual asks God for His help even in the most basic things... and as opposed to making a mockery, I construe it to be somewhat of a statement that goes to show the strong beliefs of a person. Just a different way to look at things I suppose...
I posted what God would see people to pray for and you agreed to. Need I still prove my point?
I did not agree what you are proposing to pray for. So you need to bring proof of your point.
Strong belief does not mean asking for something like cricket game.
I notice you have carefully avoided comment on the description of this game as I mentioned hitting a round ball with a wooden bat and running crazy between two ends as a silly game *not worthy of praying for.

What good it does to any nation is also has not been proven by you.
I said it is a stupid game though. Waste of time, money (expensive game compared to soccer), energy and emotions...for a poor country.
Let alone waste of time from asking something better for individuals and groups.
