I can see all your arguments are based on some reading… In my whole life back in that culture, I never heard of this sheet display thing rather any hint of such was considered taboo… A culture where speaking about pregnancy is a taboo, I wondered what’s the hype of displaying sheet etc.. until I took an anthropology class in which it turned out to be a hindu practice in uneducated village areas…

and truly lajjawab, who do you want to fool with such hypocritical metaphor like “spiritual hymen”? if virginity was understood as a “spiritual” concept for people, it would be asked from BOTH men and women!! do people expect boys to stay virgin? no, and nobody ask them :if they are, as a result boys are allowed to move out freely while girls are confined in homes…

For your info, men are just as strictly commanded to remain chaste as women…There is no distinction…

let’s get real please, i know u and AQ defend very high moral standards on a very theoric way, but practical life is very different…because the kind of underminds you have spoken about are VERY common in real life!

No, by spriritual hymen I mean a woman’s integrity to remain chaste…Not just for women but for men as well…The spiritual hymen cah be translated as chastity of the soul…The strength and the will power to endure temptations…That makes a woman of substance…

it’s easy to defend theoretical concepts like spiritual hymen, but the reality for common people with simple minds is far more diffficult to handle!

with all their flaws common people exploit islamic rules to degrade women, while the initial purpose of those laws was to protect women…

if you are too blind to realise the practical use that many screwed minds are doing with noble rules, and turning them into opprssive ways to degrade women t sexual toys…
it explains why you can’t understand why uberalles is angry!

Well, then you should know that Islamic rules are being exploited not by those who are knowledgable about their religion, but by those who lack knowledge…The true Muslim is a gentle creature kind, comforting and protective of his wife…

The ignorant Muslim is confused and doesn’t know how to treat women as a result, there are incredubly more divorces in mod-Muslim circles than proper Muslim circles…

Now knowing how to treat each other, they drift apart and go their separate ways…But not before making life hell for each other…

And I understand why uberalles is angry…It’s because she is intolerant and can’t stand ideas contrary to her own so she surses and abuses those she argues with…

ps, lajjaawab, i was born with a silver spoon, to discover what real life is made of, i went to poor districts and learnt to speak to jailers, and other bad persons...life is not a bed or roses, don't try to ignore it...

For your information, you never know if the person you are interacting here comes from that very poor background which you just experienced it by just seeing it... Living in that situation is totally different. ask me...

i forgot to say i lived two years in a poor ghettos made of 90% imigrants:D!
that was my "i went"...cause 2 years compare to my life is not so much...

depends, i was working wihle lots of them are unemployed and sitting home to get benefits from welfare state...and well that's all hijaabi can do cause they can't work, i was hijaabi too but i had to remove headscarf to keep my job, as i had no will to sit home and wait for unemplyment little money:D
