Germany vs. Netherlands, hopefully man…Then we get to see another Euro Final between these 2 Teams after 20 years…
Now we gotta beat Turkey. This will be a classic match. I hope the turkish teams gets the message that they don’t belong to the EU, they aren’t even member of the EU and how can this Team then play for the Euro Championship? How?

^ not a member YET.. in 1987 Turkey filed for membership EU.. According to the Copenhagen Critera (are the rules that define whether a country is eligible to join the European Union) they have to b on a certain level of politics, economy n industrial relations, human rights.. etc etc.. So the investigation started back then n took yrs.. in 1999 they got the status “candidate member EU”.. but to become an official part of Europe.. its gonna take YEARS..!! They’re negotiating since 2005.. so they’re not official part of Europe yet..
n yet they’re in European Championship..

btw it doesn't take years for a "candidate" to become a member finally...The German party CDU/CSU is against the membership of Turkey in the EU and this is why the status is pending...Oh yeah, I forgot, Sarkozy already threatened the Parliament to stop the EU-Expansion...

great heart shown by turkey again. thats three matches in a row where they've refused to give up after everyone else counted them out. i closed the game thinking its over when the croats scored with 2 minutes remaining. After a while I figured I'd read the match bulletin and some more whining by the brits about how boring the game was, and there it is: Turkey equalise and its heading to penalties!
so when it came down to it, Turkey were the ones with the mettle, and the croats frittered away their penalties.
i dont expect much against Germany, half the Turkish starting side has to be on the bench because of bookings/injuries. But what a great run for a team always unfairly considered a longshot.
For those talking about Turkey's right to play, part of turkey has always been considered part of europe, like Russia. Just because it isnt in the EU means squat. Switzerland isnt in the EU, any objection to them playing?
Hell before you talk about Turkey's right, why dont we talk about Israel's right to play?

man these turks are damn lucky...croats could have won this game easily if only they had tried a little harder...i hope the germans will kick these asians in the next match out of the tournament :p
I agree. Turkey were damn lucky. Croatia should have won after scoring that goal with just 90 sec. of extra-time remaining but they just got a bit complacent plus it has to be said they were damn poor in the penalty shoot-out

not only coz Holland lost.. but its Van der Sar’s last match.. hez not gonna participate anymore on World cups n European cups.. I grew up watching his matches.. n that he had to end this like this.. really makes me sad.. especially when he went to his son.. n gave him a hug while he was in tears.. really heartbreaking..
abt the match.. Holland played really really poor.. it was attack vs attack..russians were so bloody fast that they were able to have a tight defence.. Holland didnt get chances to get thru their defence.. it was juz 2 gud..! they played really really well.. hats off.. they really worked hard.. n yes they deserve it in my opinion.. n yes.. this was a big test for the dutchies on their defence.. n like I said before.. quarter final doesnt mean ur there.. that means.. u have to work harder..!
v Bastens base was really really really poor.. I mean what the hell was he thinking to put Hengelaar over there..?? Van der Vaart is really a dooooooofus.. acting 2 much playin less.. 2 bad Robben was out again.. he should’ve put Huntelaar instead of Affaley..and Bhoularouz.. this will b a European Championship 2 remember for him.. first he lost his unborn daughter last wednesday.. (thas y all dutch players were wearin a black band..) n now.. kicked out of the European Championship..
