Trouble starts when prejudice comes in between, if we all can keep prejudice out, respect and cherishes all the beautiful cultures ethnic, and religious groups that make Pakistan, and be one for our country; we can then certainly resolve lot of issues that Pakistan is facing today.
I dont think there is any real ethinic issue in Pakistan, the basic issue is "roti" some people think that if certain people didn't exist they can have their jobs. thats is the basic reason of ethnic division in Pakistan, same is boosted by small parties who lacks the capability to attract whole nation, so they selected certain ethinic group as their target market and now they are nourishing on it.
Once u come up with certian idea, their is always ways to market it. The delimma in Pakistan is, the govt. to some extent supported these parties for their own political benefits and to keep National Parties out or to break their power.
As of now, if we give room for national politics iam sure no one will remember these ethinic groups, we have seen this back in 90s, it is reality that non of the govt stayed more than 2 years but this is also true that MQM, ANP and this palijoo type parties were politically dead untill the govt gave them life again.
MQM created hatred...interior sindhi vaderas...oricinally robbers ..andkidnappers for tawan.....created hatred......ANP created hatred....magsi created hatred...Baloch nationalist creted hatred...
they all want freedom..no check of federation at all...totally free looting and bhatta khori....

Atleast for me and most of the educated class, zaat is a matter of pride- I am a Rajput(Chauhan) Sunni Punjabi muslim Pakistani- and thats my identity and I am proud of the fact that my ancestors helped the invading arabs against ignorant people of N.India at that time. As far as mixing goes, my chachus and abbu will beat me if I am seeing a mahajir gal for example- nothing against mahajjir ppl but most of the Punjabi/Pashtun families will not mix with people who have Indian blood in them
The biggest hurdle is the exploitation of the minority ethnicities and provinces by "big brother" Punjab. Once that stops, things should improve.
Classic example is the Gawadar port forced on Balochs who may or may not want it. The very idea that Balochs should be allowed to decide what is developed in their own areas sends some people into shock.
Where are you living man? The reason Punjabis expect more from the nation is they have traditionally contributed more towards growth of Pakistan as a country. Get this- Most of the freedom fighters were Punjabis, most of armymen who fight for the nation are Punjabis, most of the intellectuals,poets and philosophers are Punjabis :p

Rajputs are not Punjabis. They may have settled in Punjab but the they are basically from Rajhatsan and they are Indian and Northern Indian too.
Haha... ur name's appropriate.. I am from Punjab and I know the facts. Rajputs are basically of Arabic origin alhamdulillah- they come from the Saudi region :) my dadajaan told me once that Chohaan or "Chauhan" means an owner of four villages or something in Arabic. All Rajputs are 100% muslims..

when they will be educated and can realize where the actual problem lies then you people will stop blaming Punjab for your current situation
your wrong. there are plenty of rajputs in india who are non-muslim. rajputs can be identified by names such as chohaan/chauhan, bhatti, janjua, rao, rai too name but a few. the hindu dogras of kashmir are rajputs. rajputs were hindus predominantly before some converted to islam and some to sikhiism and christianity.
sultan mehmood of ghaznawi battled a rajputs chief around the indus and pushed them east.
most rajputs i know settled in punjab consider themselves as superior to actual native punjabis. there are also manuy rajputs within the sindhi speaking community and the "muhajir" community of karachi.
there are plenty of orkut communities dedicated to rajputs and plenty of written literature available online and books too. you will find what you say is a bit wrong!

Most of Rajputs are muslims but not all rajputs in indo-pak are muslims, and yes u r right when u say that Rajputs are basically from arab origin, but roots lies in pre-history days... one says that Rajputs were army of the invaders of India.
When thejoke says that they are from Rajistan province, then he is not that wrong as well, beause Rajputana is the base land of Rajputs as Illaqa-Ghair and Afghanistan is considered as the base land of Pathans.
No doubt that, Rajputs are the braveheart and born-fighters but do remembers they were defeated many times, by Pathans and then by English.

Are you an Indian or a Hindu?? We, the muslim Rajputs don’t consider Hindu Rajputs are Hindus or even Rajisthan place something we look forward to as our ancestral place.. Punjab is where we belong and where everything’s happening. There are many rajputs within the mahajirs? I thought mahajirs where mostly hindu converts:confused: I don’t trust literature as they are mostly biased.. Hannial, we are not talking about dravidian state of Rajisthan here.. In Punjab we not consider and talk about the Indians. I think only hindu rajputs( who stole the surnname from us, the muslims) were defeated. i think the accusation is quite theopposite. many muslims claim they are rajputs as they were considered one of the superior indian biradris. conversion to islam in india has been mostly by lower-class hindus. a lot of people claim to be rajputs but actually are not as they are fiddling their ancestry to be something they consider to be higher.
there have been no muslim rajput rulers in india. what evidence do you have tio suggest that rajputs were the protectors of islam? the hindu rajputs were there before the muslims. its a LIE so many muslims settled in punjab, india claim to be so-called higher castes such as syeds, pathans, rajputs. its the muslims who are fiddling their ancestries not the hindus who have plenty of written recorded history about rajput rule. india was ruled by rajputs before muslims conquered and those rajputs were NOT muslim but hindu.
