Rajputs are not Punjabis. They may have settled in Punjab but the they are basically from Rajhatsan and they are Indian and Northern Indian too.

:k: I completely agree! I donno why you shoudn’t be proud of your heritage or atleast why would you be ashamed of it? Atleast for me and most of the educated class, zaat is a matter of pride- I am a Rajput(Chauhan) Sunni Punjabi muslim Pakistani- and thats my identity and I am proud of the fact that my ancestors helped the invading arabs against ignorant people of N.India at that time. As far as mixing goes, my chachus and abbu will beat me if I am seeing a mahajir gal for example- nothing against mahajjir ppl but most of the Punjabi/Pashtun families will not mix with people who have Indian blood in them
