starring Jim Carrey and Kate winslet. Anyone seen it?
I got hold of a camera print (excuse me for being in Pakistan) and i was in for a complete surprisel a pleasant one.
Jim Carreys famous for his gross comedy movies but he nicely played serious roles in ‘Truman Show’ and ‘The Majestic’
But this performance surely stands out. This movie is a unique, weird seriuos love story which really caught me off guard as it unfolded. I saw the trailors and stuff and had the idea of basic story line but it was such an impressive and unique movie that it got me hooked into it.
I know many people dont like Jim Carrey but he might get an oscar nominee from this movie IMO because such movies attract critics and audience alike.
Mehnaz-- Kate winslet is indeed a talented actress and she is brilliant in this movies despite the fact that she had to change hair color in almost every 4th scene.
Ever since Carey made BRUCE ALMIGHTY, I can't help but look at him as a gross blasphemer and just can't stand him. Watching him live on talk shows and stuff is also getting really old, he needs to learn some new tricks.
This is the only Jim Carrey movie i wanted to buy (and ever will) on DVD two days back. Watched it over the weekend. Just felt like bumping this thread. It is a must see for those who have not seen it.
I can rave about it continuously but i wont.
But the concept of the movie is simple yet deep. 'Its our memories that make us us. Despite of the fact that some of these memories are extremely painful, deep in our heart we dont want to erase them.'
I downloaded it yesterday. it was great! I loved it. I found it very original and not once boring. It had many surprises even though I had already guessed that the Joel character and Clementine character would end up together again.
I would recommend it to anyone who likes movies with a story in them. I wouldn't have minded if this movie would have won the oscar for best movie, I like this one better than Million Dollar Baby.
^ Absolutely correct Sadya. This movie is concieved and directed by none other than Kauffman who is pioneer in bringing unique ideas related to one's mind. Some scenes in this movie were just so incredibly effective.
