Do you guys have an idea for nice engagements gifts ? For a good friend instead of money. I would like something personal. Will give her money at the wedding. Something she can use on her wedding?

How about a voucher for an engagement shoot? Not everyone gets one done, so I think it would make a great gift. It can get a bit expensive so if you’re from N.America check out Groupon, Living Social, etc, for deals. If they’ve had a shoot done, then maybe have one pic mounted on a canvas?
For my engagement a good friend got me a clutch which I used on my Valima.

- Groupon hot air baloon voucher. i saw one for £125 which i thought was a great price for 2!
- gift voucher for couples massage or a day at the spa etc
- gift voucher for a day trip to alton towers
- gift voucher for a boat trip on thames etc
these are nice and unusual gifts.

These are excellent ideas! Do you think it’s still okay for someone you don’t know very well ? She’s actually my husbands distant cousin who we have just started to get to know more when she moved closer to us. I’m sure she’ll appreciate anything I get but we are going for dinner with her and her fiancé as a first time meeting. Her engagement is in two weeks so I was thinking of a pretty cake serving set to give her at dinner that she could use for the engagement? Or is that too auntyish? lol

It’s not that it’s an auntyish gift but if her engagement is 2 weeks away she would have already planned that.
I think the voucher for a boat trip or something nice for both of them is personal yet not too personal like a couples massage since it’s ur huby’s distant cuz who u guys are just getting to know.

How about a Mac gift certificate? Maybe she can use it towards getting her engagement makeup done?
