Really, I thought it was military's job to lead the nation in times of conflict and war. You've been harping that it's a war, then why no general is speaking to the public?
If you think in Pakistan or (or in country during wars), it's the politicans that decide the policies, than it's you who have zero contact with reality and knowledge.
You thought wrong... army general are just govt officers who have duty and training to protect the country on the orders of elected officials...

Correct me if my second thought is also wrong, didn't you say we are in a state of war? Fine, if the war is going on so why isn't army reporting from the front? Why are they telling people what's going on? If military is just a slave to civilians, then why isn't PM whose party enjoys 2/3 of majority taking a bold decision? Declare full on operation for once and for all....don't use political opposition from a certain party as a bogus excuse. There had always been opposition to wars, there always will be, you can never have full agreement in a democracy and that's the beauty of it. Both Great Wars and literally all European imperial invasion faced some level of hostile opposition at home, but none of that made any difference to leadership's final decision. If army, federal government and all political parties favour operation so badly then why don't they just declare it? I don't see any point in getting uber excited about recent strikes in NW, while these had been going since ages....it's part of routine. There'd be another one three weeks time, so is that it?

Your 2nd thought is as wrong as your 1st one was, and please allow me say, this is what most of the burgers and their leaders thinks these days, you are at war with a rebelion group and not with an enemy who have violated your international boundaries, your enemy is within your territory, idiots have been portraying that PPP never conducted operation in its era... as ur point of getting excited i know PTI and JI were pretty much amused when they learned that 500+ civilians and few 100 security officials have been killed since by the TTP guys, and Govt this time around, instead of sitting around and waiting for summer, decided to strike back as soon as their is some credible information about their hideouts... in these kind of war-fares, only thing which matter is fear of enemy, let these scumbags ( whom PTI and JI advocates everywhere) be uncertain of their hideouts, keep them on the move, do not let them settle, have them think that there are "moles" within their ranks and most importantly, the State shows its intention to speak on its own condition while flexing its muscles... these are the way to contain the enemy we have at hand...
Have you ever thought how come these people come up with the explosives and latest weaponry??? one thing for sure, this inventory does not come cheap nor is available like potatoes or tomatoes at grocery stores...???

Feds simply cannot ignore it... and IK knows it... that is why is everyday on the TV barking about how Pakistan with 600,000 standing army and with one of the best air-force and a nuclear country cannot defeat 10-12 thousand scumbags... I wonder why he does that.. is he trying to beat MH to it or as Diesel have said it, he is here to protect Jews interest and TTP is certainly their asset...
