Re: Enemy Indentified, Army Moved, Strikes Happened, Still no word…
The failure of the state has allowed the Madrassahs to flourish. There’s no check as to what is being taught to impressionable young minds and where the funding is coming from. During natural disasters organizations like JuD have been able to provide basic services to affected people (again State’s job) hence increasing their out reach to impoverished and forsaken areas like South Punjab, Rural Sindh and Balochistan.
Its evident that no culprit in Pakistan has been punished through our judicial process. Therefore the criminals know they can do what ever they want and can get away with it. Extrajudicial killings only play into militant’s narrative.
No country raises these kind of assets in their own country. If US or India have to fight a war, they’ll go to Pakistan and Afghanistan and use their people not theirs. Why cry if Pakistan wants to continue using proxies. After all the enemies of today were the ‘heroes’ of the past. There is no guarantee that the good Taliban of today will remain the same in the future. The army should develop the confidence of fighting the adversary directly, making use of proxies has only hurt us. When we give examples of Srilanka fighting against Tamil tigers and winning, we fail to take into account that they considered the organization as a whole as a terrorist organization.
BY all means do conduct an operation, its the call of the Prime Minister in any case.
