The Christians assert that Armageddon will begin once Israel is completely reclaimed by the Jews and Temple Solomon rebuilt on the site of Al Aqsa.
What is the Quranic / Hadith stance on this? How does our religion compare/contrast with the Christian and Jewish versions of end of times?

in Islam, hour of qayaamat is ONLY known to Allah. i’ve heard in the childhood that the qayaamat will not come as long as one person on earth is doing “amr bil ma’roof wa nahii anil munkar” [enjoins good and forbids bad]. i dunno how much truth there is in the statement.

^ That makes no sense because there will be few “believers” left at the end of time. They will be with Jesus when he returns.
One rivaayat (and dont know the authenticity) says that a gentle fragrant breeze will McCabe every Muslim dead, forty years before qayamah, so qyamah will only fall upon non Muslims. No one’s islam will be accepted after the passing of that breeze, so even if someone wants to convert, it will not be accepted.
You think those forty years will be enough for the Jews to reclaim the Israel and rebuild the temple? I think so. So both narratives can be true at the same time.

Well thank you for this thread because I’ve read up on all of the signs and I’m scared beyond belief. So many of the evils of man are so rampant now. I can’t imagine it getting worse but it will.

PCG, I’ve been wondering about the same question…as to what Islam says about the building of Solomon’s Temple. The destruction of Masjid Aqsa has already begun.
Some other scary signs of the approaching of Qiyamah:
Dajjal will be barred from entering Medina through each of its 7 gates. There are now 7 entrances to Medina.
So, Dajjal will camp atop the salty marshes from which the mosque of the Prophet SAWS will be in his direct line of sight. There now is a palace on top of jabal Habshi and from it the mosque is in direct line of sight. The people of Medina call the structure Dajjal’s palace.
Scary stuff. We should try to improve upon our ibadat.

Christian scripture corresponds with ours in the case of the Rapture, it also corresponds with some of the details - like the Antichrist. However, many people will be confused about the Antichrist and actually take him to be the Christ.
Modern Muslim interpretation suggests that the rebuilding of the Temple of Solomon corresponds with the coming of the antichrist who the Zionists will take to be the Messiah.
The duration of time that the whole world will be under the banner of Islam - when jizyah will be abolished and no one will take charity will be 7 years. Isa (AS) will live 40 years, marry and die and be buried beside RasoolAllah (SAW) in Madinah. The parts after that when all the good souls undergo the rapture and when corruption becomes widespread again may take centuries or it may take decades … Eventually one person will be left who will be saying Allah Allah … And when asked what he is saying he will not know, but recalls that his grandfather would say this … When that man dies - then nothing is left holding back the the beginning of the end itself …
Before the Major Signs there would have been 40 imposter Christs - that would precede the Dajjal himself.
During the Day of Resurrection there will be a lot of thirst, the gathering will be a mass gathering that is emulated during the Hajj. Every person will be given their deeds as a book either in their left hands or rights hands … This will also be a time when some people will be shackled and yokes put on their necks to prevent them bowing at the start of the judgement process, because those people chose not to bow when in this life. The urge to bow will be so great but the yokes will prevent them painfully.
Judgement Day will last many thousands of years … each others lives will be played back for all to watch and only those parts hidden that Allah (SWT) has given Mercy and Forgiveness for.
This is followed by the traversing of the bridge - Sirat - where some will fall in to Jahannum and others will be able to cross either at lightening speed or through arduous effort or in between eventually to the doors of paradise. Some people will make it across but then get turned away from the doors.
Another reference is either at this point or earlier after Trumpet 2 the whole universe will be wrapped up in to non-existence then Allah (SWT) will be Alone and Declare His Permanence and then bring everything back again … (Marks the point of Akhira)

I watched an interesting video last night which said that Dajjal is Samiri who led the Israelites astray by creating a gold calf that produced a sound when Moses (AS) was away for 40 days. I’ve never heard this theory before, don’t know how valid it is.

we should improve our 'ibaadaat and mo’aamilaat at all times, irrespective of signs of qayaamat.
besides, the process of qayaamat is extremely slow in human time…Allah’s 1 day equals our 10, 000 years so rest assured that we’ll not see the crux of qayaamat. we have been witnessing the signs of qayaamat for a long time yet it will take a lonnnnnng time for it to arrive.
let’s pray that Allah make it easy on Muslimeen witnessing qayaamat when it comes. momineen have nothing to worry, iA.

The knowledge of the Hour is with Allah Alone (zati/dhati), and whoever Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala reveals to (ataee, From Allah Ta’ala). This is one of the positions on the subject.
If I say: "Angels wrote the Hour and its details a long time ago" - does anybody have knowledge to contradict this statement?

I am sure in this lecture it was pointed out that although every Prophet has warned their people about dajjal, the dajjal actually only revealed himself to our Ummah. This point being in contradiction with something redvelvet has heard

Before End times, civilization must trun against one another and there must be a terrible and violent war. Since the birth of adam and till the advent of the judgment day, there is no Tribulation or fitna much greater than that of Dijaal. Dijal is a great grave danger for Muslims. Reason ? Cz every Prophet has warned his people of the deception and violence of dijaal. My mother told me that rule of dijaal will be based on violence and oppression And there is no city which will not be vanquished by the army of Mister Dijaal (except MAKKAH and MADINA) (Dijal will encamp outside MADINA and will fingd angels guarding MADINA and MAKKAH , ths shows Muslims will be so weak and powerless that they would nt be able to Protect even MADINA and MAKKH, Angels will take this responsibility) That will be extremly difficult years for muslims. You guys can see that increasing violence , anarchy and slaughter against muslims shows that dijaal is knocking at the door (Palesine, Afganistan, Iraq, Bosnia, Chachnia Kashmir) As a result of strife of dijaal, the world will become the stage for World war.. Keep it in mind that muslims will face hard and difficult time before dijaal appears. You can see, that we muslim are going through it right now @PyariCgudia

And HE (JESIS) shall be a sign for Coming of the hour (Judgment day) , therefore have no doubt about coming of the hour but follow ye ME, this is the straight way (Qurran Az-Zukhuruf 43-61).
This shows that Jesis will descend (when muslims will be facing dijaali Music) and will fight against Dijaal and his army. Fierce fighting will occur near Masjid Al-AQsa. I read somewhere that A bird will fly from east to west but could not land as there would be so many dead bodies. The Believers or the fighters of Jesis and Mahdi, who will embrace shahadaat in that violent world war, are best Shaheeds near ALLAH. @PyariCgudia

You give them too much credit. They probably haven’t even really paid attention when hearing the Quran read during taraweeh. They probably know zilch about hadith, let alone the ones that deal with end of times. They probably don’t even know the Madina folks are calling it “Dajjal palace”. They’re that disconnected with reality.
