Every religion predicts DOOMS DAY ! Maybe because they all know they will cause enough havoc and inter-faith wars that at some point Humans will cease to exist.
Have you been to North or South pole where "one day" is way longer than days at lets say New York? Why are you restricting yourself to your watch?
