ya if u see this program it reveal about Imam mehdiz arrival as well (along with several others in detail).
according to the program Shia n Sunni both believe in Imam mehdis arrival but Shia says Imam mhedi is already here since Prophets Muhammad whereas sunni say he gonna born. (REST ALLAH SWT knows)
this program also talks about the looks and features of Imam Mehdi. n also it says there wont be two opinion about him being the IMAM MHEDI.

people more informed than shahid masood have been predictging end of days in their era for centuries.
I guess those people (i.e every religious scholar of each era) are/were passimist people. They think that things cannont go worse then this so this must be the end.
Human biengs, in general, are at least proving those scholars wrong by stooping lower and lower as the time goes by.
Neverthless, these are human conclusions, only. As a muslim we belive that only Allah knows about the right time of the end
point being the respected and informed scholars as well as hacks all have preiducted qurb e qiyamat for centuries. read up on some stuff from mongol times for example.

so they might get more information and better idea after seeing DSM research (i havents seen Harun Yahayaz research in depth so cant really say but he is also a very good scholar). again its not DSM’z own information, he joining different incidents n pointing they may or may not happened under the light of Quran n Sunnah, and also refered to several western n islamic scholars. again have look to this program

I dont have any information on qurb e qiyamat. from my perspective it does not matter. I can die tomorrow ..does not matter if qiyamat is not for another 10 years or 10K years, unless we factor in sawab a jariya (which reminds me is there something like gunah a jariya)
so if I critized his punk ass in some other thread why are you bringing it up here as a diversion from a very valid statement that people have been predicting qurb e qiyamat for centuries ..

There is a hadith of the prophet:saw:, the exact interpretation of which is:
Rasoolulah:saw: said: Qiyamah is near
Companions(RA) asked:* how near?*
Rasoolulah:saw: replied: As near as your death for whoever dies, his life to Qiyamah is nearer…
Mufassireen have related this hadeeth to the quranic ayah that talks about when everyone will be resurrected and they will think that they were in this world for one or few days… Wallah-O-Alam!
