A couple of points here.....
First and foremost....if all avenues of resolution have been tried without success, then yes, I will leave. I don't believe in tolerating any kind of abuse....it's against my religion ;). I also firmly believe that raising children in an abusive relationship propogates generations of abuse. (i.e. It teaches the female children to put up with abuse and the male children to abuse and get away with it.)

If you stop behaving in a certain way, it does not always ensure that the reaction will stop. You may see the emotional abuse change form and some other means of punishment begin.
