All in all , i think this is the right action being taken... Musharraf & current government has to get rid of these extremist terrorists out of Pakistan.
That is my thought too.
The imposition of Emergency gives the Government the necessary air-cover they need to rid Pakistan of all the scumbags/extremists/terrorists.
But I wonder if I am being naive in thinking that Musharaff's reasons behind the declaration of Emergency are entirely well-intentioned.

There were 2 reasons being given for the emergency one being the current militant situation in Pakistan.. I just hope now that Musharraf should prevail in his action & get rid of these Jihadists.
There is only one reason for declaring emergency - Mush saving his kursi.

"Supreme national interest" means to stop Nawaz Sharif & his Mullah Alliance to rule Pakistan again & to get rid Pakistan of Terrorists .

They are indeed well intentioned.
These are extraordinary times for Pakistan that need extraordinary actions. Pakistan is in danger of turning into another Iraq with daily suicide bombings.
People should have faith. They should not get carried away by the negativity of the doom and gloom merchants. All will be well, and Pakistan will continue to progress as it has done for almost 8 years.
God Bless Pakistan, God Bless President Musharaf.

No seriously, how is imposing emergency going to stop militants and suicide bombing. Its only going to encourage more. All this emergency enforcement does it suspend our joke of a constitution, control media and control over SC etc etc. Everything else will remain the same. How is it any different? The reason justified by Mushy are very lame.
