No seriously, how is imposing emergency going to stop militants and suicide bombing. Its only going to encourage more. All this emergency enforcement does it suspend our joke of a constitution, control media and control over SC etc etc. Everything else will remain the same. How is it any different? The reason justified by Mushy are very lame.

Well he could annihilate them w/o imposing emergency. He was still the COAS and people of swat and waziristan were already being killed. How is this state of emergency gonna help kill more people?

Not in a situation where Judiciary is already creating troubles for him. It was a necessary act.

musharraf is truly the most shameless politician i have seen in pakistan. he has left benazir and nawaz sharif in the dust, in the scope of his powergrabbing and mangling and raping of pakistans useless institutions. NS is a distant second.

This is going to wreck Mush's credibility and destroy the goodwill that he had created.
On a separate note, its wonderful to see 'electronic tigers' of Pakistan lodge their protest, but it means jack unless you have a massive anti-government mobilization on the ground.
Lets face it, Pakistani people are too cowardly to stand up against 'great military' so yeah everything is falling into place.

Wow, this is making great reading material for myself currently off sick. its quite entertaining & comical, i was sorta waiting for this soap to start up again, since BB arrived fortnight ago. but on a serious note before anyone starts on me i do have family in PAK, esp. parents & in-laws so my prayers are with the people of Pak tonite. Let's hope a solution can be found sooner rather than later seeing we've got chachoo bush eyeing up Iran & Pak for starters and main dishes, maybe the time has come for all to go ie. Mushy, Benny, and Iffty and let some fresh blood take over. The political scene in Pak has gone stale over the last couple of years. Hey maybe they should let us guppies take ova!!!
