Not all of a sudden. It was on the card, mush had no other choice but to declare emergency as SC was going to decide against him becoming the president again
He had the choice of resigning and getting lost and leaving the nation to get on with their business. Musharraf is not Pakistan.

All the Sindh judges have refused to take oath under PCO.
As they have done it many times before...lets see waht the lahori judges do this time...

People of Pakistan are going to be the biggest losers in this drama. Our armed forces have never brought us anything good. Nations has have armies and our army has a nation.

Judiciary could be the center of gravity in this whole drama. if it resists, we may well change our historical tendency of bowing down to the Army and kick out an incoming illegality b4 it spreads its tentacles.

It seems that anyone above Brigadier in army is now eligible to become judges. Government is waiting for judges to decline taking oath under PCO and thus replacing all judges :)

In this day and age just shutting down TV stations is not going to supress the truth, there are hundreds of foreign channels which will keep Pakistani nation abreast with what is going on.
