Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?
So a couple of weeks later, I'm, still in the doghouse for a situation not of my making.
Sure a few circumstances conspired against us, eg she would have gone with my wife but daughters friends turned up on our doorstep so they filled the car up, so no space for 1 more.
Secondly, I'd forgotten my towel so made a mad rush from shower to my room - not expecting someone to be there. I dont normally walk around the house like that, even if the wife & kids are away on holidays etc. We are very conservative on such issues.
Her friend is a bit mentally/emotionally frail at the moment - messy divorce, deep distrust of men (dont blame her). Of all my wiife's friend, she is the only one I never speak to and try to avoid. Just bad luck I suppose that it had to be her!!!
Lesson learnt for me. Take your towel with you!
None learnt by the ladies I fear.
why would someone be in your room in the absence of your wife??
Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?
make a clean breast of it so she knows it was a honest mistake.
A perfect Freudian slip for this thread
Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?
So where exactly was your wife's friend sitting if she saw you running from your shower to your bedroom??
Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?
I find it weird too. My best friend is married with kids and I would NEVER agree to wait in her house alone while her husband was asleep upstairs. I would rather wait in the car and catch up on phone calls or just meet her wherever we have to be.
Its not your fault, she shouldn't have done that.
Exactly this.

Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?
maybes your wife and her bessfrand are hiding something here.... you need to go on the offensive on this one instead.
