Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?

In a nutshell, one morning, my wife on the school run dropping kids off to their various schools.

I’m at home, I get up after a bit of a lie in, freshen up, shower, exit the shower in not much other than my towel in hand.

I hear screams!

Its my wife’s friend (who is here to meet up with my wife to have breakfast). I take it she has seen me in my ‘full glory’

No one told me. I mean, its my house, and if my wife & children aren’t there, then it always means I’m alone, so surely I can roam as I please??

She leaves. About 20 mins later my wife comes home, not looking too pleased with me.

I have no idea if she knows what happened.

But like hell am I feeling guilty or terrible about what happened.

Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?

Many things do not add up in this picture that you are painting therefore I am skeptical. I will consider it as a blind man and naked lady joke with a grain of salt I hope you must have heard that joke if not I can post the link .

  1. No adult will barge into your house without knocking or ringing the bell even if your door is wide open .
  2. If they suspect that some crime is in progress because the door is wide open they will call the police , specially a lady will not just try to investigate a crime scene on her own.
  3. If the door was locked does she has a key to your house , very fishy.
  4. If your wife and this friend of her’s made a plan to have breakfast together , your wife must have told her what time she will be back and also that you will be home.
  5. If you were home unexpectedly then you wife must have called her to let her know that she will not be home and you are there so she should wait to come before her.
  6. You wife did not tell you that she is going to have breakfast at your home or outside with a friend ? :hmmm:

Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?

sounds like a scene from DH.

Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?

More important question is why did she scream :hmmm:

Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?

Paijee 's version of the song ’ It wasnt me ’

My wife’s friend came in and she caught me red-handed
Creeping with myself near the bathroom door
Picture this, I was butt naked, jumping on the bathroom floor

How could I forget that my wife had
Given her an extra key
All this time she was standing there
She never took her eyes off me

:hinna:

Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?

I don’t know if others will agree…but I find her screaming over-dramatic…what a drama queen.

Also, could your wife be at fault? For example, could she have made the mistake of not letting you know that she was in the home and that her friend would be coming over? If so…then please place some of the blame on her.

Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?

First I thought I read it was you who screamed. :p well you should have. I would if I had been you :D

Re: Embarrasing situation - but was it my fault?

Aside from joke, your wife should have informed you and her friend could have ring the bell before coming into the house. Remember, if you knock three times and you don't get no response
even someone is inside..turn back. But your wife's friend needed to be dramatic. So joke is on your wife and her friend..
