I know of a sad one too. The guy and girl eloped when she turned 18, he was 24. She was the daughter of a high ranking government official, in Pakistan. So the guy kept taunting her and telling her she was untrustworthy because she eloped and blah blah…and 6 years later they divorced, and she came back home, only to find herself turned away from there as well. She then put herself through med school,became a doctor and led a successful life.
