it launched today, i watched abit of it and so far it seems pretty good. i think many of of its presenters seem to be notorious ex bbc presenters..so it should be interesting to see the slant put on it.

^ I heard about this on NPR radio and there are some presenters who just left FOX and CNN cuz they saw an opportunity working at Al Jazeera and made the switch.

You guys watch it, they show pov from both sides, and now its in english, so people have a chance to see for themselves, and see if it really is what people portrayed it to be. Don't pass judgement until you've seen it yourself. They are also covering more stories in more parts of the world. Also helps that they have people from all nationalities, and former reporters and journalists from big name networks switching over.

In US only Dishnetwork is carrying the broadcast of Al-Jazeera English channel. All other networks(Comcast, Charter, etc) declined to broadcast Al-Jazeera English channel.

Just watch it is not even close to propoganda, search it on youtube, it is good!! Definately gonna get it if it comes on dishnetwork! Also try english.aljazeera.ent/homepage, they are streaming online, dont trust fox news to tell u want it is, judge for yourself, half of the reporters are not muslims or even middle eastern.

I have watched it for a while, looks good and impressive. more channels should come out at this level from the east in English to counter one sided view of the world from present media.
