maybe that might be the case with desi-desi guy/girl friendships but when certain things like big age difference, difference in religion, difference in subculture come into play you keep a pretty strong distance even if it’s a desi-desi friendship. the subconscious mind keeps us in check so that line does not get crossed.
i’ve had guy friends in college, pakistani, indian, of all different religions, friendships might be strong we depend on each other but you don’t get so close that it complicates things. just like how colleagues are in the office environment
