This Eid how many of you received Eidi from your Susral? And what did you receive? Do share

I will probably not get anything. we dont give eidi on bari eid.

since i m in US and my inlaws in lahore...they sent abt $300 for me, i went shopping with him and instead of buying desi outfit i got american clothes and shoes. :)
but nothing this time (not for bid eid).

i got 2 outfits ,1 pearl jewellery set,perfume ,cosmetic, sandals,hand bag,fresh flower gajray,mehndi n cash:yahoo: bcoz its my First eid after engagement,abhe last sunday he meri engagement hoi hai

I did not recieve any eidi from anyone. Inlaws give eidi when i am with them in Pak and hubs doesnt think eidi is for bari eid. And i am fine with that as long as i get it on choti eid.

Eid al Fitr we do gifts and cash eidhi, Eid ul Adha just gifts

I always have a hard time accepting Eidi, I know its traditional but I don't feel the need for it. My fiancee and susral spoils me enough with their generosity (both materially and with their kind sentiments).
However, I still get a few hundred bucks from them anyway. I usually wave it off and give it to my fiancee to put in savings for the wedding.
ETA: For the ladies above who have gotten Eidi this Eid, many of your gifts seem quite nice. Enjoy them!

I got a really nice outfit, a Satya Paul saree I had my eye on, shawls (I wear a lot of shawls), chooriyan and cash. :)
