Eidi from Hubby on EID

Saal mein aik baar hi tou itraaney ka mauqa aata hai :(

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

My husband doesnt give me Eidi, just presents, and I give him presents. I think thats funner than getting Eidi from him. My MIL always gives cash to us each. And then hubby gives me the cash he got as well :D

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

With the flag bearers of equal rights here, I demand that women give eidi to their bfs, husbands etc!

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

^ I never heard of women giving their husbands money as Eidi, but most of my girlfriends do always give Eid gifts to their husbands

sara.. sometimes its not the custom in a family.. if you want u can always tell him that you would like him to give u eidi :) poochnay mein kia harj hai?

I'm not talking about myself. When everyone's talking about/showing off what they got from so and so i think it can make the few ppl who dont get anything feel a lil bad. maybe those talknig about don't fel its their problem to be a little sensitive, and i'm sure many do not do it with the intention of putting one person down....but then again im probably taking it tooo seriously and being oversensitive about it.

PS, "asking" for these type of things just doesn't go over well in some families. (again not talking about myself but in general).

I got hubs a perfume. Like i say guys have armaan too :hehe:

^ how about giving him some monies? in other words, give some of his hard earned money back to him! :hehe:

Thats rite, sometimes it definitely isnt a custom, but even WITHIN families it can differ. My husband has been giving me eidi (which can be gifts or cash or both) since our first eid, but his brother doesnt give his wife anything. One day she happened to know that i receive it from my hubby, so she demanded it from heres too!

Ooo this part of our culture can be so much fun.... "tumhara bhai apni biwi k liye itna kuch karta hai... tum mere liye wo sab kyon nahi kartay" Seen it happen a few times. :D

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

^ yah and the husband can argue back that his bhabhi does so much for his brother why doesn't his wife do that for him... then let's see how much fun it can be :D

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

:hehe:
i think it is only fair, i mean i have seen ma dad and all ma uncles and cousins do it all ma life and get told every now and then that once i have my wife she deserves it too,

p.s i dont c n e thing wrong wid dat.

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

I got eidi from everyone .. even him : )

Nice to see all comments.

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

yes I got eidi from hubby...

lol! These r people in pakistan im talking about, if one person see's another with something, they want it too.

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

I dont think a husband needs or should give money to his wife because she can just get the money out herself whenever she wants 2 (or should be able to).

It's cute when a husband and wife exchange eid gifts. : )

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

i sent my hubbi a card and a sweet gift a teddy bear wiv hearts he sent me a card with a glass frame and had our name in the middle heart shaped box....missing him like crazy

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

A big warm hug is a perfect Eidi for wife

Re: Eidi from Hubby on EID

I got no eidi this time! :--/ Hubby kills the idea everytime by telling me that I have credit cards/ATM and permission to use them for whatever I need to buy so it doesnt make sense to give eidi. He's soo not creative!!!
