Do you get eidi from your hubby on EId day, as my hubby said eidi is for kids not for elders

I got eidi from literally EVERYONE.. including my hubby and his whole family.. =)
He sent me 2 teddy bears and lots of love cards 
and I sent him a cashmere sweater

When he and I were window shopping at some indian boutique, I saw a saree on display and told him it was so beautiful.. next thing I know, he got it for me :) He doesn't work yet because he's finishing up school so it didn't make sense for him to give me anything but when I refused to take Eidi, he secretly transferred alot of money into my account as 'Eidi'.. lol. From his family, everyone gave me lots of presents and cash.. such has his parents, his grandmother, his 2 younger brothers, their family friends.
my husband gave me some gorgeous arabic perfume (its amazing), jewellery, money, and an islamic book about the journey of women - can't recall the name, but its about a powerful woman in islam and her journey. He thought being it my first eid with him it was sentimental. I got lots of gifts from both sides of the family, clothes galore! Plus money etc! I gave my husband a watch, and other treats. We are going to go for a eid meal ont he weekend, away from everyone else!

i always get eidi from my in laws , my own folks and my older bro.. and ofocurse my husband.. last eid he got me a gorgeous jewellary set .. this yr i got cash cuz i said i would prefer it.. he has already gotten me a watch and jewellary just 2 weeks before.. so i really didnt want anymore of it...
but men in my family have always given their kids and wives eidi.. i thought it was custom for all men to do so... and older siblings (brothers) give their younger siblings eidi..
married men dont get eidi though.. unless its from their folks or in laws. i havent given my husband any eidi.

My abbu always gave my ammi eidi, i think still does but not sure. So i always thought wives get eidi from their husbands. Hubs at first thought it was childisih and last eid we decided to buy a set of tafseers by Ibne Khathir as our combined eidi but maza nahi aya. So this time i got cash. I want to go shopping now

He bought me clothes and jewelry. We took a ton of pics and oh Eid this year was so much fun!

I gave Eidi to my wife, and it was more than what I gave to my brothers, sister, and daughter.
