Do you give Eidi or buy Eid presents for your OWN kids? What are you getting them this Eid?
Re: Eidi for own kids
Its my kid’s first Eid this year…![]()
I got her a toy and an infant seat thingy…
she is too young to notice, but this was to make mommy dearest happy…![]()
Re: Eidi for own kids
This will be my daughter's first eid and I'll be giving her a toy as a eid gift.
Re: Eidi for own kids
lol agree with you that it makes mommy dearest happy. I got her a high chair too but it’s already in use now and it’s not a eid gift any more I guess :hinna:
Re: Eidi for own kids
diamond…![]()
Gosh I have been resisting opening the box and just see her using it too…
I need to wait till Eid…dress her up and then take a picture of her with the “Eid gift” too…mommy is crazy…!!!
Re: Eidi for own kids
I was thinking of going to the shop tomorrow, to see if there's at toy that would suit her these days. But I just don't want to add a toy for the sake of adding one. I'll find something, I'm sure. I'm so excited!
Re: Eidi for own kids
Now they are bid enough to take care of money so its EIDI.:)
Re: Eidi for own kids
My older wanted a DSI but that a :nono: I have to go shopping tomorrow. Something little like those “make your own bracelets” boxes. For the little one I haven’t figured it out yet.
I have never gotten them presents but they are old enough this year so I want to pack them up nicely and make sure they enjoy their eid day.
Re: Eidi for own kids
Money. (which I usually end up borrowing at a later date :@:)
Re: Eidi for own kids
^ :D that's exactly why I dont give them any. 20 years later they will complain that I took THEIR money.
Re: Eidi for own kids
Until she's old enough for money, I'll be giving her a present. She's 22 months, and to this day she doesn't own a doll of any sort. I've been told off by lots of people for not introducing her to dolls, so that's what I got her for Eid. There will be a total of 4 kids at our eid get together, so I got each of them something. Although, I reckon they're a tad young to be excited about opening presents or even know how to open them.

Oh, no reason whatsoever. It just never occurred to me to buy dolls for her. :D She has tons of stuffed animals which she's totally in love with, so hopefully she'll like dolls as well.
Re: Eidi for own kids
my two lil ones are too young to get excited about money, so i have made these eidi goody bags for them (and for friends kids) with bracelet/necklace sets (from claires), candy, kiddie lipgloss and these cool little eid stories i bought a while ago http://www.onlineislamicstore.com/b8839.html
Re: Eidi for own kids
I'm giving my daughter Eidi this time (she's old enough now)..... on Sunday probably we will take all the money she got, go visit Toys R Us or Target and get her whatever she wants. She has her eye on this Art Studio from Fisher Price, we'll probably buy that and some games for her DS.
njgal: How old is your older one? Why not let her get the DSi?
Re: Eidi for own kids
When they were under 4, we used to buy toys for them as Eidi but now they demand hard-cash...so cash it is. :)
Re: Eidi for own kids

Older on ewill get some train or car he is obsessed with and for little one I was just thinking learning table by fisher price....but seabee's comment about doll is giving me ideas.....hmmmm
