Eid

soooo guys Eid is just round the corner…just wondering how people celebrate it? do u do anything special? what about chand raat? and mehndi? chooriyan etc

Re: Eid

............................ok lol

Re: Eid

hmm.. this time we are invited to moms friends house for chaand raat, nd will be putting mehndi and just chatting around. And the next day Eid will be clebrated at our house, so relatives coming over and eating dinner etc. Usually its celebrated at uncles house but they are in pakistan . So yea thats about it! And then next day its school again :bummer:

First time in my life I am dreading to even wear fancy clothes & I won't be putting any mehndi on :(

Re: Eid

^Why no mehndi?

I will put mehndi inshAllah. Always do that.

I have the dress for Eid.. its simple but its new so i m happy n excited to wear it on Eid.

Will make Sheer Khurma or Sawaiyaan on Eid morning… meethay ke baghair Eid hothi hi nahin.

What else… :hmmm: since i am far from family so guess thats it for the Eid.

I don’t think I’ll be able to handle the smell this time.

If you are far from family you could do a one dish party or something & invite friends over. Its always more fun when there is more people on such occasions.

Re: Eid

Smell ??? you dont like??? I LOVE mehndi smell/fragrance.

When its on my hands, i smell it time to time..

You can make a small design on ur hands and something thin n delicate. That will dry quick and you can wash your hands in an hour.

Re: Eid

If I wash my hands in an hour then the color won't come out right.

I love the smell of mehndi. Its just these days I am not digging it. Anyways. Yeah maybe I could do the "bhumro" style.

That way I'll have some henna on my hands.

Re: Eid

Re: Eid

^ right ...same here :(

I miss the days when we all were together in Lahore with family. Sighs... those were the days.

Re: Eid

I went to Lahore a month ago and did all of my shopping from there. My clothes, my chooriyan, my mehndi etc. We are holding a huge chaand raat gathering in AR and it is in the iftar tent. Me and my mom are the organisers. We will have two ladies that will put henna, a quiz on ramadan and eid. Games to play, food and lot's more.

First day of eid we are having an open house nashta from from 8 till 12. Then from 5 till around midnight we are going to 3 different peoples houses. 2nd day of eid we have been invited to a khandaan get together in my choti dadhee ammi's house. All the cousins and everything. 3rd day of eid, in the morning me and mom are going to go watch DIL BOLE HADIPPA and in the night we are hosting a dinner for 17 families at our house.

Basically that's it and then back to university ! Thank god getting 5 holidays for eid this time.

Re: Eid

If Dil Bolay Hadippa was on theaters , I ll go too… :yahoo:
