Eid - Thursday or Friday

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

well our local masjid isn’t celebrating eid tommorow.. so i am not sure..

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

I e-mailed ISNA, ICNA, and Al-Khoei that they should have council which should include all representatives of different groups in North America just like the ruhat-e-hilal committee in Pakistan. I also said that moon comes out once for everyone and it cannot come out one day for shias and the other day for sunnis or viceversa. Do they even care...ahh obviously not, but still I thought there is no harm in bringing this issue up. :)

....Anyhow Eid Mubarak to Everyone. :)

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

because our Arab brotheran followed Saudi Arabia and saw the moon in the morning here when it was evening is Saudi Arabia.

So, you know in the name of unity we are again disunited :alhamd:

Shariaboard.com declared it on Friday but the Mosque Alfalah in NY indulged into a dispute when Imaam refused to pray Eid on thursday. Now they are authenticating with ISNA and after half an hour they will decide for sure

Brainless to say the least, we muslims are :mash:

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

^ can you atleast not misuse 'masha'Allah' and 'alhumdulillah' for screwed reasons. it's ridiculous.

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

it is plain simple pathetic a website which claims that moon cannot be sighted now took a 180 degree u turn, talk about credibility eh?

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

do u know the meaning of those words?

Allah is the only one worthy of praises and with his permission everything happens.

:subhan:

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

can someone point me to the list of masjids in GTA doing eid prayer tommorow?

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

Eid prayer will be held at the Irvine Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Takbiraat will start at 7:00am and prayer will start promptly at 7:30 am. Please arrive early and give yourself plenty of time for parking. We expect a full turnout for Eid prayer.

Zakat ul Fitr should be paid before the Eid prayer. It is $7.50 per person in the family.

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

Moonsighting.com hasn’t lost its credibility. Actually the moon hasn’t been sighted in N America. So Moonsighting.com is still accurate. We will be celebrating Eid tomorrow for some other reason.

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

so who saw the moon? what is ISNA claiming ???

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

^ and the Reason is?

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

yes and now the other half (shariahboard.com) who were for Friday have consulted ISNA and changed their mind too…

They suddenly witnessed Hilaal in Greater Chicago Area.

:alhamd: we are all united

Re: Eid - Thursday or Friday

AS, what other reason?
