For those jo friday ko eid ker rahe hian un ko bohat bohat eid mubarak.
and for North American people jin mein half ISNA ko follow kerte hain un ke liye sawaal ahi ke agar Chicago hallaal commmitte ne kal eid kaa ilan ker diya chaand dekh ker to woh kaya karein gay :

Follow the sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH). He said, even if you don't see the moon because of cloud cover, fast another day! Do not follow these "modern" calculations. ISNA=HISLAM/HERSLAM

I don't think Prophet Mohammed PBUH told to not follow "calculations" if those were available back then. He said to fast another day because that is the safest route if you can't find it due to cloudy weather.

So a Muslim who lives in Antarctica, where it’s 6 months night and 6 months day is not supposed to follow calculations? What about if he’s in space?
My friend, Allah :swt: is wise…He knew that when the time came for such a decision, mankind would have enough technology to overcome such barriers…
