For instance ‘Milaad’ are often organised by women folk where they gather and sing Naat and druod. And combined prayers and food is served and distributed in neigbourhood.

Kids and teenager make and decorate 'Pahari’ (hill) and decorate it with different kidy stuff. and at night people with their kids go and watch these decorated minature mountains and enjoy the sight.

Other people organize Rallies, sermons, Milaad etc to celebrate the birthday of their holy prophet (pbuh).

Although their is variation in way of expression of emotions but generally, Muslims from all schools of thought arrange functions, sermons to mark the day in Pakistan.

Eid milad un Nabi Mubarik to all who celebrate it :flower1:

Please share the details if the day is celebrated in your comunity or neigbourhood. Thanks

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

Not celebrated. In our old neighbourhood we had a few pakistani families so sending meetha stuff over to eachothers house was practised but no we don;t have any desi's in our neighbourhood so we eat up everything that mum makes ourselves :D Nothing even close to Pakistan. We do get to go to a few milaad's every year though but I think it would be beter to read quran/durood than sing naat's which have very weird wordings at times and I don't get the point of reciting naat's over durood shareef. For milaad's held at homes aunties have very disturbing voices and not one of them is in sync with the other. Don't know if that is rewardable or not. I try to read durood shareef in my mind instead and prayers too.

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

does any body know how the prophet companions used to celebrate this day?

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

^ come on now, dont ask such things, the christians celebrate the birth of their prophet, why shud not the muslims celebrate their prophet's birthday....

Allah sent prophets so that people cud celebrate their birthdays, why bother if sahaaba never gave importance to this day....

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

If someone really want to celebrate the birthday of Prophet(saw) then he should fast every monday like Prophet(pbuh) used to do.

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

I said: you can celebrate the birthday of Prophet(pbuh) by fasting on every monday..........do you have to hold a party....

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

Oops. I don’ think Prphet Muhammad :saw: will be very pleased to see his followers inciting others under the guise of praising him. Astaghfar but the hint at jealousy is complete idiocy.

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

mere samjh main ik bat nahi atee

app sub log ajj kay din celebration jo manatay hain to yeh kion nahi samnay latay k

ajj App salal Alalhoa lyhi walsam ki death bhi hoye thee

date of birth main to phir ikhtilaf hay lakin date of death to confermed hay

Apnay nabi ko moot per yeh qoom khusheian manate ya ammad per

pehlay is sawal ka jawab mujhay koi day day

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

i think we should recite plenty of drood and read quran on this day ~

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

^ yes very rightly said :k: that would be the best thing to do

most of the milad are held to gather people for reciting darood, tilawat, Naat and get together

Femme Fatale - yes i can imagine ladies with horrid voices, but on the other hand many girls and women are very good at singing naat. Although I have never attended any female milad gathering.

Mazey ki baat, some time ago I was attending a Walima and there was some milad gathering nearby. And the singers at walima were horrible but naat khawan at milaad were excellent … so people started to switch over

Good thing about muharram and Ramazan that your get to hear lots of top quality Qawali, naat hamad etc on media, which are otherwise hard to find.

Problem Girl- Mujhey afsoos hai ke apki samajh main ye baat nahi aati :frowning:

Bhai simple si baat hai, log hazrat muhammad :saw: ki dunya main tasreef awari par khushi manatey hian, keyonkey wo rehmat allil Alameen hain

gravity kills - Companions of prophtet (pbuh) did not clelebrate this day as per best of my knowledge

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

Instead of celebrating Eid milad-un-nabi or aka prophets b-day like ppl do in pakistan and other places...y dont they just memorize or try to follow NE of the Hadeeth or sunnah..i think that will benefit them more!
and i think thats the rite way of showing prophets luv by doing what he did!

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

^ And do you think people dont do this ?

For your information there are millions of people in pakistan who just do that ( memorise quran and hadees ) and millions of people who go out around the country and world to spread the message of holy prophet

Here is the saying of prophet for you if like to memorise (if you like)

"If this world had even a worth like mosquito, in front of Allah, then surely disbeliever wont get even a sip of water out of it !"

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

Islam yeh bhi kehta hai ke doosray paighambaron (pbut) main tafreeq na karo…

To phir aur Paighambaron (pbut) nai kia kia jo unki saalgira nahin manatay…

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

We do not differentiate but there is only one Rehmat alil Alameen out of all them  hum tu unki tashreef awari per khushi manatey hain, Ismain Achumbey ki tu koi baat hai nahi …

Bani Israil per Man-o-Salwa nazil howa tha tu unhoon ne bhi tu khushi (eid) manaye thi

Saada si baat hai… jab koi khush hota hai tu khushi manata hai. Its natural :k:

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

yes i heard ppl do that
what kind of islam are these ppl following!!!

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

didn’t you ever make house in sand ?? when you were a kid ?

Kids play with dolls and toys in pakistan.

They follow kiddy Islam

Also there are two other versions

Islam (home edition )
Islam (professional edition )

Most women use home edition and most posters in religion are proffessional Islamers.

Making castle in sand/mud is allowed in kiddy islam and making castle in the air is our favorite pastime for us Muslims

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

You can follow one sunnah for the rest of your life and get nowhere. If you pray five times a day as a Muslim should, but lack love for Rasul-Allah (Saws) in your heart, what’s the point of praying?

Correction: Someone tried to say to fast every monday as prophet (saws) also fasted every monday so that we remember him this way. It should be noted that he fasted on Mondays and Thursdays, not only Mondays.

The significance for this is that he (saws) said in his hadith, that every monday and thursday, the deeds of his Ummah are presented to him.

And he further clarified and made his sahaha aware, that Monday was the day that:

-monday he was born,

-and on that day, the fire of Faris (current Iran that burned for hundreds of years extinguished,

-That the castles in Shaam (current day Syria) lit up with lights as his blessed mother bibi Amina (as) said,

-and the prophet’s (saws) uncle al-Abbas said that when he was born, the sky and the firmament of the Earth filled up with light.

-Abu Lahab, the uncle who with his wife cursed Rasul-Allah (saws) and threw garbage at him, the prophet (saws) said about him that because he whom the in the Qur’an Allah (swt) states, “perish his hands” in Surah Lahab, that Rasul-Allah (saws) said about Abu Lahab, that because he freed his handmaid on hearing the news of Rasul-Allah’s (saws) birth, that Abu Lahab is freed from punishments of his grave every monday because of it.

Now you tell me, that if a man who has been condemned to the fire by Allah subhanahu wa ta 'ala in the Qur’an, is freed from the punishments of his grave for rejoicing in hearing about the birth of Rasul-Allah (saws);

What harm can come to you people to revere Rasul-Allah’s (saws) birth???

Please get over this…this topic has been discussed extensively in another thread already. If anyone has any questions, please refer to this thread if you are really interested, and if you want to talk to me about this issue, I suggest you read through the entire thread first. Jazak-Allah khairun.

Please research on it and I am sure you will find many more incidents as I have them…good searching to you

ok ok keep fast on thursday as well if you can..........i've no objections.

Re: Eid Miladunabi In Pakistan

Sir, why do you need to go into so much hassle ?

I wants to be happy or festive why do I need to dig up so much stuff and lengthy copy paste ?

What is the need of justifying ‘emotions’ ?

There is no need to justify love or happiness, is there ?
