Re: Eid milad un nabi is biddat - Saudi mufti

In this case both have an equal claim to being correct. More generically - when we decide to do things we should evaluate the fullest possible evidences to build the best possible picture in order to extract the likeliest of verdicts. In addition as I said earlier - all of this is underpinned by intention - i.e. sincerity. Allah (SWT) rewards us for making wrong interpretations and increases the reward for correct ones - so long as both are done in a true vein to seek out and arrive at the truth. It is then the responsibility of all present to respect the path the others followed.
However, if a person chooses a given way without sincerity in his heart he is only kidding himself and if he is zealous of his choice then his actions burn up against the bad conduct he has for his fellow being. It is not singular interpretation we need to acquire … it is respect for difference.
There are some discrete points in which we do not vary … I posted a video last week … please watch that if you have time.
