Ok so just like xmas that we don’t celebrate, but don’t mind some association (attending office Christmas party, for example), we also don’t celebrate eid miladun nabi, but back home when we were invited for koonday, oh yes I was there always. Yum.

And also it’s not fair to compare festivities of eid miladun nabi with that of Christmas. Desis don’t take part in the festivities of Christmas with the intention of getting sawab. Desis do celebrate eid miladun nabi with the intention of ajar. That is why the latter is considered biddah by some.

for sawab? from what i know…it’s for remembrance of the prophet.

christmas is a religious holiday. you wanna make it cultural, then any milad can be thought of the same way
