Shah of Iran was known as the “policemen of America” in the Middle East. His policies, particularly foreign, would have been extension of the policies of the US. Shah would have made sure that Pakistanis bow in submission to the US, i.e. become one of the “trusted allies” (which Pakistan has chosen to become anyway).
