(9) Narrated 'Abdullah: Allah’s Apostle said, “The blood of a Muslim who confesses that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that I am His Apostle, cannot be shed except in three cases: In Qisas for murder, a married person who commits illegal sexual intercourse and the one who reverts from Islam (apostate) and leaves the Muslims.” (Book #83](83. It is a serious matter. To be become a Muslim is not a process that should be taken lightly. It is something that we make a commitment for life. Let the munafiqeens be judged in the afterlife.

To condone conversion out of Islam, is to make a mockery of the faith.

Is there any reference from HQ as well or not? It’s very simple yes or no answer.

If we go by your argument to “let Allah decide” then why not walk naked on the street, drink alcohol constantly, and eat swine? After all many Muslims do that as well. I am not about fall into that trap of political correctness, secular-humanism BS. NO, if you become a Muslim you are required to follow a set of stringent rules. The faith disciplines towards becoming a better human being.

Walking naked in public and all usually effects the people around you, and if somebody eating pork how he is effecting the people around him. Too much religion and you guys start comparing tamatar and aaloo togather.

Shifting gears to the reality, can you identify cases where the apostates were actually hanged by the government/Islamic court? You will note that they have been few and far in between.

Grinding the gears to halt! Even if one man was killed because of something which was misrepresented is too much.

Dear bro Pak-One,
There is no such thing as dilute Islam, orthodox Islam, hardlined Islam, liberal Islam. Islam means submission and it cannot be partial, diluted, orthodox or liberal.

In the light of the Quran, I fail to understand the wisdom behind killing of apostates when “There is No Compulsion in the DEEN/way-of-life/obligation”.

Here’s a thought, “We are not compelling you, however, if you do not comply, we will execute you in 3 days”…

Oh yes, thanx for reminding. THERE IS NO COMPULSION IN RELIGION. This straight from HQ, (some people will come now and say it was abbrogated by hadees)

Other point to add is none of them have brought any reference from the Quran, these actually shows the sad state of Muslims today, i again write we have become hadith worshippers following Islam blindly.
The Quran is just thrown into the bin and is just used for recitation. Well the earlier caliphs ruled by the Quran and they were successful. I fear this stage of muslims blind following.
Guess what even the sahaba karam radiAllaahuanhom, used to verify hadith from different sahaba most of the times. Here we are made to blindly follow the Imam system without questioning as this is become a trend.
Even in case of doubt we shoudnt be questioning ourselves, which again goes against the Quranic verses, even the sahaba karam used to question the Prophet in case of doubt.
Prophet itself is mentioned Islam as a religion make it easy, but our brethren today have made it the most toughest, by following something which is not within the Islamic fold.

I repeat again no one has brought verses from the Quran stating the apostate, and when we mention the idea of belief and then disbelief from the Quran none can counter. If people can bring Hadith i too, we too have brought hadith.

But cant help May Allaah help those who follow stuff blindly and associate falsehood to the Prophet.

They already have by claiming that hadith are superior to the Quran (nauzubillah)! Just like they have declared suicide as halal, there are no limits to their fitna.
