They use the example of Moses saying to the isrealites: uqtiloo anfusikum... kill your nafs/ego... and they translate it as "kill yourselves (the wrongdoers)", which of course does not make sense since it is based on a biblical insertion... If God needed to say "the wrongdoers", it would have been expressed explicitly (God makes mistakes?)
To all who still refer to Ahadeeth and other but not the Holy Qur'an:
Give me please one surah/ayah from the Holy Qur'an where it's explicitly allowed to punish those who convert out of Islam. just one example !!!!!
As Khehkeshan said how can u be a Muslim just by fearing some misguided ones, those who look to punish u if u convert to any other religion.

La Iqra'ha fid'deen. If this means something to u'll stop calling for Punishment for apostacy. But oh well it's all wishful thinking i guess.
