Egypt on CNN Presents

hello!

anyone else watching CNN right now? they’re running a long programme on Egypt. Underlying theme looks like how Mubharak is running a sham regime, elections etc. Many people are very upset about lack of rights for people. They are also saying they are worried about how the kefai brotherhood may take advantage of this to call for a sham democracy and them impose extreme law!

This is surprising to me - I thought Egypt was a rich peaceful country ,<!!

Anyway did anybody notice how many egyptans speak english like desis? very thick desi accent!!

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Those Egyptians need to be civilized! An American invasion would do them good.

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Americans have already done enough to help egypt billions of $ in aid every year

what more do you want them to do,is an invasion an answer to every domestic political problem?

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Many Pakistanis don’t realize that Egypt is less than half of Pakistani population and it is dirt poor country with extreme leftie Mualanas dominating the national thoughts. Their kommie leader called Gamal (Jamal) abdul Nasir instituted policies (very much like our Bhattoo sr.) that utterly destroyed Egyptian economy.

This country is the poorest of the poor and hence the source of major terrorists including Aimaan al-zaya-hiri (the one with lost faith the teacher of Ben-la-deen), the blind sheik (the leader of 1993 WTC bombers), Atta the $hitta (the 9/11 bomber).

Egyptians workers in the Middle East ususally are the biggest haters of Pakistani workers there. There goes the Islamic Ammah killed by the Egyptians.

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

^ why should they hate Pakistani worker? There is no conflict between two, right?

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Dear Mr. Raj,

There is a huge economic conflict primarily started by Egyptian workers against Pakistani workers.

Remember Egyptians having lived in abject poverty become very protective of the income sources. They generally see Pakistani workers as the major competition as we can visit mosques and get close to employers. So the Egyptians using their Arabic speaking skills usually block the salary payments to Pakistanis for months. They try their best to get the Pakistanis fired from the job. One less Pakistani means one more Egyptian on the same job.

There is one area where Pakistanis refuse to compete with Egyptians. The Egyptians love to bring their women to the Middle East in the hopes of snatching a rich Sheik.

The above description is more applicable to the Egyptian workers coming directly from their home to the Middle East. On the other hands Egyptians in Europe are economically better off, well educated so they tend to be more diplomatic and less anti-Pakistani for many reasons. However that will be a separate topic.

Best regards

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

and that sham government is backed by US. What happened to spreading freedom and democracy? I guess it doesn’t apply to all countries.

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

^ it's ironic. beause from the CNN programme it said if real democracy comes then the people will elect the religion group. and the religion group will change laws to old world.

It is the same pattern like in Pakistan and Iran may be? for countries with majority Islam religion followers, democraccy is dangerous....but they have to depend on non-elected strong types. Too bad!

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Pakistan has had voting and elections. It is the politicians and public of Pakistan that invites army back into power. Even now we have an elected government in Frontier that wants to impose Talibanism on the hapless citizens of Pakistan.

The matter of Iran is however different. This is a la-la-land or moo-la land being plundered by the men in black, the men with beards. I hope and wish that no hell befalls on this land of rumi, hafiz, and saadi. Such wishes are often depend on the men in black, the men with beards. And right now they are trying their best to bring death and destruction to this beautiful country.

Best regards

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Egypt also they always had voting election etc but nobody to elect.

Pakistan, yes there was election but did it involve chosing who runs the government? And may be Pakistan election actually to small way, provened what CNN was saying - that religioun party wins!

Iraq, Iran - same story

It is big problem I think. All these countries need plan to economy progress for poor people. But basic need for planning is government and that is not there (exept Pakistan but Pakistan is only playing defensive economic plan I think - just survival level).

Look at China, India, Malaysia, etc ... they make plans for big improvement. Malaysia built something called technology something plus major port activity. India ofcouse doing software and call center etc. China, making everything. What Pakistan, Iran, Egypt etc are doing? Atleast Iran atleast has many oil. What about others?

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Dear Akbar Raj, Let’s not put Pakistan in the same sentence as the despots countries like Egypt, or Iran.

We had many elections and our politicians failed after evey elections. Time and again the people of Pakistna elected them for the betterment of the country and every time these politikos failed us.

Egyptians and Iranians are largely dominated by orthodox maulanas and kommie leftie intellectuals. Elections or no elections they can never get out of their misery.

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

:nono: Ignorance galore, ever since the British occupation, Egypt has been in the hands of secularist extremists from left and center and their different brands. But your fascinations with the Maulanas will never end.

Those who are quick to point finger at the Maulanas tend to forget that these Maulanas are the result of extreme secular policies of left and center govt which still continue.

When was the last time you were in any Arab gulf state. Its easy to spread lies, on the ground Egyptians are the only people Pakistanis feel comfortable with in the gulf. Ever heard of the Labor colonies in Kuwait and Damam KSA, you would be surprised that these two would share apartments and are mostly devoted to Islam in their different ways.

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Do you think the Pakistanis who go to the gulf region for work live on less poverty?
and what you have to say to all those pakistanis who bring their familis to the gulf?

If people want to know what Asbiyah can do to people one should read this post.

Again and again your ignorance about the Arab world, makes you spew out lies aftre lies, let me say it again in Egypt has been ruled by Secularist Army Men ever since the secularist Kings were thrown out.

One can say this about 160 million Pakistanis as well but then that would be wrong in your eyes.

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Dear MiniMe, Egyptians Maulanas like Aiman Al-Zaya-hiri (the wasted one) or the blind bomber of WTC are indeed product of the kommie leftie policies at home and abroad. Afghan Jihadis and Talibans would not have existed if not for Kommie invasion and it’s after effects.

However Maulanas should not be termed as simple “products” like soap, or a razor etc. These Maulanas are living breathing people who have chosen the path of terror, murder, and suicide bombing even after their “contract to fight Kommies” has long expired.

Best regards

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Has it? I don't think it has expired Abl. I heard the Bush admin. was ready to do deals with the Tellyban as late as 2000.

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

2000 US-Taliban meetings were meant to sign a new contract for oil pipelines. Kommie war contract had already expired in the 90s. Why? Kommie Ruskies had seized to exist by then.

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Well, it seems hatred against 'mullahs' or now a 'new' term used by abl, 'maulana' will never end. After being quiet for a while he is back with old agenda. Same remarks like making reference to beard etc......!!
Same reference to four or five evil people who he thinks are the 'leaders' of muslim 'Ummah'!!!!

Egypt is run by secular govt. and CNN has made many programs which can only be considered 'propaganda'. These kind of programs (not necessarily reflect truth) and set the stage for future political/military tactics and making people ready to accept future plans of action.

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Dear Deedawar, your assertion about the Egyptian government is true and I respect that.

However Maualans have indeed won big time in the recent elections.

Best regards

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Yes and now you have found the reason behind the CNN program. Why not before so many years when Egypt has been considered a friendly country? Do we need explanation for the CNN program why it might be on air?

(I must admit to be honest that I have not seen program on Egypt to make complete comment but merely going by the original post that it is now showing bad aspect of Egypt or Mubarak letting maulana's getting power)

Re: Egypt on CNN Presents

Dear Deedawar, Why are you so terrified and paranoid about poor CNN?

Maulanas having been gaining power in Egypt for a long time as reported in the world media. These orthodox folks have tried different techniques including killing and bombing innocent tourists. After failing in their terroristics ways in Egypt, and most of the big ones behind bars, they are changing ways. That’s all.
