cutting down the sugar and eating lots of more green veggies
benzyl peroxide 10 % solution as treatment cream and combining the cream with the 5% daily wash (only when it was really, really bad condition on my skin, now I use the cream every second day)
Now that my skin has cleared a lot I use things from SUKI to keep my skin in shape - creams that contain AHA are really good

Plus I put boiled water over chamiolle tea(don't know the spelling in English) and gave myself steam - calmed down my skin alot!

Salycilic acid peels are usually done at your derm's office. There is no brand or way to do them at home that I know of. I had mine done professionally at nourish med spa in Chicago.
Glycolic washes by MD Forte are really good. All of their cleansers are really good actualy.
I use about 2 tbsp olive oil with 2 tbsp of honey and 2 of lemon juice. Apply all over your face and neck, leave on for 30 minutes and then wash off.

Oxytetracycline pills from my doctor when in my teens, worked brilliantly, took them for about a year :)

well that doc ought to get his med license revoked. prescribing a broadspec antibiotic for acne for a year?!
^What’s wrong with taking Oxytetracycline for a year?? It’s widely prescribed and not uncommon at all for ppl to stay on it for a year or two in the UK:

Took about a month for me to see results, of course doesn’t work for everyone but totally did the trick for me..

Roaccutane is pure Vitamin A isnt it? I thought it had extremely harmful effects for the inner body (like affecting the reproductive system) and doesnt it cause depression?
However, skin comes out completely clear of acne so thats a plus point! :)

It is advisable not to use roaccutance if you are TTC as it can cause damage to the child, however I used it in my teens and the doc said that it's effects wear off in 3 months or so..It is a medicament and not a counter medicine so I guess a doc will prolly look into such factors before prescribing it.

LMAO i still get acne at this late stage! Albeit sometimes, you know they say a man will keep growing till about 32years or so if thats the case whats to worry acne is the least of my problems :)

Salicylic acid peels are recommended for acne sufferers.
Glycolic peels help with scars...great exfoliants following salicylic peels.

Accutane . Nothing else worked for me really. Tried salicylic acid, benozoylperoxide, glycolic acid, topical retinoids (retin A) and pretty much every herbal thing.

i had bad acne as a teen. i used retin A for that, some salicylic washes n lotions, antibiotics. for scars i started HQ 2% but ended up using it on whole face so scars didn't really go away.
recently i again had return of acne. this time i went to no derm but used salicylic acid wash2% + 5% benzoyl peroxide gel. the min u see one spot emerging treat it right away is best strategy. it took me a while to clear my face. my scars(brown spots) r still there. i'm using diff things right now so hopefully they'll be fading soon. sunscreen, exfoliation n skin lightners help to get rid of them sooner or later.

I think glycolic acid works well for scars. Or get a cream with hydroquinone.

I know Accutane works but I have not been able to bring myself to go on it. The side effects I read about sound so horrendous I dont know if I can handle it.
