Wasn't name Allah was used for God before Islam?
Allah did exist in other monotheistic faiths with slight variations as in Hebrew. i'm talking about the present. in Islam it's Allah now...we may call him Khudaa too but Khudaa is for other mortals as well...like naa_Khuda for mallaah and Khudaa-e-suKhan for Mir Taqi Mir...but, Allah is specific in Islam.

Allah was used by polytheist Arabs as well :)
There was a huge campaign during Zia regime to replace Khuda with Allah :D
Tu vs aap is not used for qurbat aur doori. Use of Tu was recommended by indo-pak scholars cause Tu established the oneness of the person you are talking to, while aap can be used for a group too. When I say aap aa'ain, I could be talking to muqawwee alone or all of you, so there is an element of confusion , but when I say tu aa jaa, I am definitely addressing single entity .
Miyan means Sahab. It does not mean husband. Yeah mere miyan hain, is a literal translation of he is my mister.
I was going to ask this. I always heard Sikhs saying Wahe guru ji, Baba Nanak. Isn't there separate concept of God? How Baba Nanak defined God?
Baba Nanak's god is similar to Nirgun nirakar god of Islam or monothestic god of sikhi. Sikh means disciple and Guru is leader, Wahe Guru means true grue. In sikhi guru means god and god means guru both are inseprable terms:) unlike Islam where prophets(PBUT) were different from god. Sikhi in theology is strictly monotheistic with gurus as another pillar:)

Does that mean that Sikh Gurus and Muslim sufis like Mansoor Hallaj follow the same theology for God. Mansoor had said 'Ana l Haq', which was interpreted as he was claiming to be the God.

Isn't "Allah" of Arabic origin ? Just out of curiosity is their a "pure Sindhi" word for God ?
Yes Allah is Arabic, but attachment of Sain denotes how Sindhi people revere Him. Sain is also used for father / mother and other elders including teachers. :)
Regarding pure Sindhi words for God, we have Paalanhaar (one who provided things for your survival) and Dhani (Master).

In Indian culture, Guru and parents are above god, as they are the one who establish conscience of god in an individual. Gurus never claimed theselves as god, but the diciples, Sikhs gave them status of Guru making both Guru and God inseprable, gurbani, teaching of Guru is teaching of god.
Gurus are like Waheguru,Babaji etc, god is referred as Rabbji:)
