If reference to Allah's hands in the Quran were meant to be taken literally then it would contradict this ayah:
"Say, 'He is Allah, the One;
Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
He begets not, and neither is He begotten;
And there is nothing that can be compared to Him."
Qur'an 112:1-4
